One from the archives and also one of from my all time favorite sunset series.
Mysterious feminine face concealed by abstract green forest. Mixed medium: collage, painting and photograph. Artemis is the Greek goddess of the forest.
Photograph. An image I’ve been working with I’ve titled “Closed Open Nude” printed this time on two different Asian papers and collaged together with Asian motifs. The primary paper has mango leaf inclusions. The secondary paper is a fragile taupe Unryu. A small square of Japanese block printed calligraphy paper is at the bottom, below that a section from a Chinese money envelope.
The remaining leaf on a japanese maple tree. /
“Shades of Love” is from the show I did about flowers and women with poems as an offering to their beauty. As I came closer to her, her beauty caught my eye. / A thing so fine that the word beauty was unkind. / As I stood there in her magic a fragrance filled the air playing with my nose. / What it was I can not say but heavenly to me.. / In the air was this magic that made my heart beat faster. / I stood there an inhaled captured by this fragrance. / Deeper and deeper I breathed in lost for ever more. / I was captured by this thing of beauty an drifted off in time. / I dreamed I was in far off lands in exotic places. / Brightly lit with special colors blending with sweet smells. / There before my dazed eyes dancing to strange music. / Was a little asian honey dressed in beads of gold. / She moved so softly to the music with perfume in her hair. / And as I dreamed this lovely dream surrounded by this smell. / I drifted off to the heavens and lost my soul to her. Enjoy my few flowers posted here.
A friend on RedBubble asked me why I only wrote about women who were sex kittens and not women with short legs and not all of the looks that a movie star has so this was for her. / Ann heres your poem and I hope you like it! I do! This is another of my flowers and poems for her. She wasn’t much to look at she was not the local prize. / I had seen her with my girlfriend as we walked and she said hi. / My girl was in class with her they shared a laugh or two. / She told me that she had a heart of gold if people only knew. / She lived in my small town my whole young life right down the street from me. / And I tell ya I never ever saw her because she was so pale and very very small. / She didn’t fit the profile of what I was looking for. / I liked my girls with a little meat and some full lips and a big bottom thats real full. / But my little neighbor she had none of what I liked she was shaped more like a boy. / Her lips where way to thin she had a real small bottom and the poor thing what seemed the worse to me… she had no tits at all. / But as I got to know her when we all went out to eat, she had a special shining way that made me look much deeper. / I never saw this side of her, I was too busy looking at the surface. / But once I got to take a look this flower bloomed the brightest. / I can’t say what was her magic, was it the wit that she always had. / Or maybe just the silly things that seemed to jump right out her mouth. / She was the brightest of our friends and never had a guy. / The problem was as we all knew she had no tits no ass! / But that was many years ago she’s blossomed as a woman. / What she didn’t have ten years ago she’s wearing with a smile. / She’s filled out just a little in all the special places. / But next to someone like Brad Pitt’s wife she’s still the second prize. / But oh what wonders has she got that makes her so much better than a star. / She’s real she’s kind she’s open minded she’s everything you want. / And I ask myself why didn’t I see this when we both were young. / Her tits are still a hand full and her ass is still too small and forget about her thin thin lips and that she only 5 foot 4. / But what she’s got that we all want is personality. / And that makes her smaller body parts a second thought to me. / I always had a beauty queen who left as they got bored, or I decided time for a new one because they put me fast to sleep. / But here she was from down the street just a few houses down the road. / And now ten years later I am smitten by this gal with no tits no lips no ass ! / So I am walking down the street to say I seen you all these years and you my friend have touched me deeply for so very long. / I’d like to ask you this one small question….... will you marry me?
This is another of the flowers from my show and poems for her. Too many times we hear the horrors of inner city violence but do we take time to think of the effect a rose can have on the life of a child. / This is my perspective on this based on my own fears of flowers and what they meant to me as a child growing up. What was it that made little Kimmy cry when she saw a rose. / Her mother wondered as she saw this time and time again. / Little kimmy was just 5 and such a happy child. / But every time she saw a rose she broke down and cried. / At first her mother thought nothing of it maybe she got stuck on a thorn. / But when this happened time and time again, she took notice and asked her what was wrong. / She wouldn’t say what she felt she was just a little child. / So all she did was stand and look and start to cry. / Then one day her mother said were going to a doctor. / And off they went to see a woman who might get to the problem. / They sat in a big with room with pretty little pictures and the the woman would ask some questions and Kimmy sat real quiet. / This went on for quite awhile as Kimmy turned to 6. / And then one day a patient came with some bright red roses for the doctor. / And little Kimmy broke down crying and screamed out loud don’t let it be my mommy. / The doctor was in quite a shock as she took the child in the office. / And on this day little Kimmy said exactly what was the problem. / Its know that in the neighborhood where little Kimmy lives someone got shot and always killed at least 5 times a day. / Her cousin down the street was walking home from school one day, someone road by and shot him dead he was only 10. / And then the little girl named Marie she was playing in her yard 2 cars rode by and bullets flew and Marie was shot dead. / And then that night there was a fight at the local dance, someone got stabbed in the chest it was Kimmy’s older brother. / He died that night as they waited for the ambulance that never ever came. / And then on sunday that special day 2 men stood at her door, they wanted her father to fix their car he was a top mechanic. / While out in the front of the house her daddy’s bending over and then a car comes passing by with gang bangers drunk and noisy. / One man says hey my friend its sunday can you give us a break? / And then the banger pulls out a gun and shoots all three men dead. / Little Kimmy saw her daddy dead and lying in the streets. / His 2 friends close beside him died with him too on that sad sad sunday. / Then comes that day that kimmy knows too well for such a little child. / A rose is lying on their caskets then she starts to cry. / It seemed to little kimmy everyone that she knew had died. / And when they did someone would come and place a rose up on their casket. / As Kimmy sat in the doctors office saying what she thought. / The doctor took her by the hand and looked her in the eyes. / She smiled at little Kimmy and said she understood. / But deep inside she knew that was a lie, and thanked God she never would. / She waited for the moment when Kimmy didn’t cry and told her something that took away all the fear she had inside. / She said that rose that you see, is a present from that man above. / And when someone brings it to a casket it means that they are loved. / That red rose is a special flower its full of life’s compassion, and is the thing that we feel when someone’s life has ended. / Its not a bad thing that you see when your looking at it kimmy. / Its full of love and everything that we see as good. / Just think what it would be like if there was no red rose, then how would we show your daddy and your brother that they were truly loved. / So next time that you see one just look at it and say, I know you are my daddy’s friend in a special way and tell him that he’s loved!
This is another one of my flowers from my show and poems for her. / Mars attack is a series of flowers with a message. Alarms are sounding late at night as I toss and turn in bed. My wife’s been crying all night long wondering what went wrong! / We jump up out of the bed and run to our window. / Nothings in the air but off in the distance we think we see some movement. / I take out my camera and zoom in to it to see what it could be? / And what we thought it might be turned out to be a star. / The noise it’s louder than what we know its not from our blue world. / it got the attention of everyone the lights are on in every house. / People running out the doors standing in the streets. / Looking up and pointing fingers at what they think they see. / I see my neighbor Fred he the one that won a million on TV. / And who’s that with a ball in their mouth all dressed in bright red rubber. / And over there is Kimmy she’s the local tease blond and hot and what a body waiting to be pleased. / And my neighbor Karen she’s standing on her lawn looking up to see ! Normally she’s working the late night shift at the local hospital. / And Trudi the Aussie girl who lives right down the street she’s come over to see my wife they gossip all the time. / I think they have some new stuff to talk about tonight no more talking about the neighbors hair and who got in a fight. / That noise it making me go crazy its gotten my attention. / And then Judy pulls up with some guy in a black mustang. / She’s crying as she runs up to the house with her new boyfriend. / She’s always got a new boyfriend she likes them hot and young. / What’s going on what this alarm I was in the bed sleeping? / I don’t know as I look up I am just as shocked as you. / And then it stops just like that! / The alarms scream still ringing in my head as I hold my ears. / Fred comes over with his friend all dressed in red rubber. / And Judy whispers in Fred’s ear I got a yellow one like that how about your number. / I heard that Judy, my ears are good I didn’t know you liked that! / And then we get quite a shock as that voice come through the air. / Get to your TV’s right now there’s something I must say! / Its life or death for your silly asses if you make one mistake. / We rush to my TV set all eyes are on the tube. / And their before our very eyes a sight you will not believe. / There stood a sight that hollywood might make for a Star Wars movie. / Big and green with what looks like a mouth for all the world to see. / And on its sides were I guess ears flopping as he talked. / His voice remained calm and clear as it spoke about this problem. / You humans don’t seem to get the fact that your in big trouble. / I told you we meant business and no rockets and no guns. / But someone ordered the arming of your atomic weapons! / You silly asses I told you that none of that would work. / And now you’ve really pissed off the planet Pluto and all that live there too. / I am working hard to solve this problem they would rather see you gone! / But I told them that you were a simple race and let me have a try. / Your presidents made a mess of this he’s called around the world. / He wants to have an all out fight thinking we are as dumb as him. / Some country’s don’t want to talk they wanna wait an see. / But no your presidents pushing for a full confrontation he’s as dumb as has father. / I just got off the line with him I think hes got it this time! / I told him that he needs to see we watch you all the time when you sleep and when you wash and when you take a shit. / Nothing that your people do go’s unwatched in this universe and beyond. / We’ll be here tomorrow if your too dumb to wait just touch a bomb and we will have no choice to send your planet into deep space! / And then he was gone just like that and the TV went black! End Of part 2.

This is another one of the flowers from my show and poems for her. The sun settles over me as I take your hand in mine. / Your body’s warms as you breath, we fought the mighty sea. / Caught in its mighty arms its love for you so strong. / To have you by his side today to be his lovely bride. / But my resolve to keep you mine was stronger than that man. / He wrung your body in his hands his anger full of rage. / And I your willing champion has fought him to the end. / Your life was more worth than mine, as I took the challenge on. / My love for you would see the light and I would beat this man. / His Grip was strong as he took control my eyes on his strong glare. / I know his soul was forged of steel from years of mighty combat. / The sun brought clear to me his this day his broad shoulders born to fight. / It glistened off his mighty shoulders and shone his evil mouth. / And you my love were consumed this day into that ugly hole. / I looked at it this killers eyes set to shallow you. / And said to me you must not fail your love will perish here. / My will was tested on this day your love my strength of armies. / And when I thought that I might lose I thought of hugging you. / Your love so true and so sublime you give me godly strength. / To face this man this monster though I might lose my life today. / I swim into the mighty mouth I am blinded by his fury. / And as I feel the breath leave me I feel your hand reach out. / You struggle to come close to me but he’s a might foe. / His lust for you is all he knows, though he has a stomach full. / I struggle against my mortal needs for a gulp of air. / For one second more and I might fail in my final task. / I grasp at you, you offer me your strength to hold my hand to yours. / And as I cry out in my mind, please my love don’t let go. / And as you fight along with me I feel this mighty man. / I feel this mighty beast cry out in rage he will not lose this fight! / He twist my body like a child and drags me to the bottom. / But I hold true to my deed its you I will not lose. / He scream’s and cry’s as he takes one final mighty gasp, and release’s you to me. / As we rush to the surface of the swell thats all thats left of him. / I struggle to breath in fresh air he’s nearly killed us both. / I hear him screaming in the distance his pain is in my ears. / And you my life are lying here as I breath air into you. / You will live today this battle has been won. / And God would not be so cruel to take you from me now. /
This is not one of the flowers from my show but will be in my book. You again back this morning looking still the same. / I wonder where my youth has gone and left me with this man. / You stumble in as if we’re friends, but your no friend of mine. / Just one more sad reminder of what is left behind. / I look at you so worn and torn. / From miles and miles of stress. / And here you are again my unwanted friend to face me once again. / You come this morning bringing gifts a smile to comfort me. / But underneath all that show your love for me is hate / I know your hate for me is strong you show it in each new line. / For on your face is what I am a man who’s time has gone. / I struggle to make contact, with your hateful eyes, that stare at me this morn. / Looking deep into my face reminding me each day, of the goals you set for me, when we were so young. / I see you settle on my eyes so tired from all the pain. / Of trudging through this world each day with out one moments rest! / I see the look that your showing me of hate and such contempt. / I know I’ve failed you a thousand times but this is what I am! / I reach inside to find a man who’s goal is set to stone. / But I am just a mortal man who’s fallen many times. / But because of this you look on me with such disgust it shames me to my core! / I see that I have failed to be the man… that I had hoped my life to be. / And you my hated inner self are there each day to curse me with your smile. / Your time and mine are soon to end I’ll settle for that prize. / For I know soon that you will no longer greet me in the morn. / With damning eyes that cut to my bone, reminding me that I am weak. / I’ll take that prize to my grave! / And cheer! / No more of you! / My mortal soul is lost for good…... along with you its hated twin.
