To conform or to not conform?
From the Supersport support event at the Superbike round at Phillip Island
I saw this torn up photo of the Queen at an antique mart in Buenos Aires. I snapped a photo of it and restored it on PhotoShop. I still can’t get over how young she was here. I don’t think I’ve seen her this youthful and beautiful.

Mutated Cover Art I was Doing For an old NZ band The label got busy and the project got shelved so i withdrew my design and am using it for a few shirts.. Hope you enjoy the details, the theme is fashion, anti establishment angst, music and riot… (which is almost the name of the band :P ) I took out a few New Zealand references to make it more universal… eg burning ‘Bee Hive’ building (our government building) I will make a up a few more on different colours and different content… Please enlarge to view silly details… Loves ya!

New Painting! I’ve to two more that I just finished. This one has a story to it with lots of symbology. I’ll not get into that here but make of it what you will.

This spiritual design by Skye, is a tribute to the sacredness of Wildlife and indeed, of all Life. A wild Crow flies before a sacred Totem Pole which depicts the symbolism of many animal forms including Man. (A different coloured version of this beautiful image is available, if warm sepias aren’t to your taste.) The background image for this work was taken shooting into the Sun in a dense fog. 25% of proceeds from the sale of this item are donated to Defenders of Wildlife at: www.defenders.org. / Thank you for caring.
Featured in Winter in the North-East USA February 9, 2009 I was thinking of naming this one Snow White and the Seven Dwarves … but there are more than seven little trees, and I couldn’t seem to consistently get the same number when I’d count them up!!! I know there’s a lot of negative space happening here … but I liked the feeling of distance and scale … and of course the subtle and quickly changing light in the sky is a big part of the fun. This is located just a short walk up from our Cabin on Blue Knob Mountain in Claysburg, PA. Image taken on January 20, 2009 with the Nikon D40x, using the 18-200mm VR Nikon lens.

Pastel on Canson mi teintes paper – (grey) 70cm x 50cm I did this many years ago when I was first experimenting with pastel!! The only part that is ‘real’ is the first cow, (for which I used a reference photo) and the rest was made up as I went along.
