A female Antarctic Fur Seal takes a break from the hectic task of… well… being a fur seal. She’s resting on Azorella “cushion plant” on Heard Island in the southern Indian Ocean.
Yes, they are my feet and I’m relaxing on the beach watching the kids play in the water. I gave this image some texture and it reminds me of a very lazy, Aussie summer’s day at the beach.
...but sadly I am. Next time though, when I’m feeling altogether more feisty, I’ll ‘av ya. Yup. Fisticuffs, just you and me… I promose I won’t use my claws… snigger

Filling up a glass of water and noticed this out of the kitchen window. Literally ran outside with a t-shirt and slippers on to get this before it went. First few shots were a golden amber in color then it went to this before it disappeared. Only snapped about 30 bracketed shots before it was gone. Gonna go a repot my orchid while this is uploading (and I finished it, thanks dial-up). Hope you like it. Please critique… print available here and on my website. This shot reminds me of the lazy, hazy days of summer back when I used to go swimming in the old creek as a kid. Taken in June of 2007 in beautiful State of Virginia, near historic Williamsburg. Best viewed LARGER!

There is only a 5 percent mark-up on this one. I encourage everyone to “f*ckin’ love” themselves a t-shirt with Ronald holding whomever is across and slightly to the right of you at gunpoint.

This was taken at the coast at the end of our summer, heading into fall. A very lazy and quiet day, with nothing but the sounds of the ocean and seagulls.
I just loved how this horse was lazying round in the nice field…
This is a photo I took years ago, when I was using film. It is a picture of our back yard, on our farm. My dad loved our farm, so I included it in a slideshow I prepared for his memorial dinner.

A lazy moment in the life of a polar bear at at the Oregon Zoo. I am going to Churchill next year to see these beautiful animals out on the tundra. There has been a 13% decrease in the Polar bears in that area due to global warming. There is only a short time during the year for viewing these bears, as once the ice solidifies, they migrate in search of food. During the several month hibernation, they have had no food. They replenish their bodies off of seals and other sea going mammals. The polar bears are considered the most dangerous of all bears. While viewing them in their natural habitat, you never leave the gigantic dune buggies. For several days and nights, you sleep, eat and view the wildlife from the dune buggies and from the viewing decks. The bears are considered to be too dangerous to allow people to step down on the tundra (other than the scientists).
Paradoxical soft, curvy, lazy loops of unfriendly, sharp razor-wire – strung above a rigidly regular fence, against a dark, dark sky. / . / Thank you to the Just Lines Group and the Don’t Fence Me In Group for featuring this photo in 2008! / . / Many thanks to the Shapes & Patterns Group for featuring this photo, on July 9th 2009. / . / / .
