  • Sometimes I wish boaters who come out early, could just launch their boats without disturbing the peace while they’re at it. But you can’t help but laugh at how clumsy some of them are just trying to clear the launch…..LOL

  • Paiwalla Wetlands, South Australia

  • This slipway in Lower Island Cove doesn’t look like it gets much use these days.

  • Shot just past Pencarrow Heads on Wellingtons rough south coast, I found this hugh concrete platform, it’s so big it shows up on google earth. Shot on my Nikon D700, 17-35 Tamrom lens. Other images in this series / Time drifts by / Light Wave / Make my day PUNK! / Jurrasic Rocks

  • Taken from just below the gate area although down the shore quite a bit, see, The Secret Gate. This concrete seawall stretches across the whole property on that side and hides the steps down within an alcove in the middle. / I actually walked down the rest of the overgrown driveway which eventually turns into a boat launch/overgrown beach area to arrive at the shoreline, because the steps down from the gates, although as wide as the gates, were individually narrow and broken up by the weather and time, and too treacherous for me to brave. / Taken Sunday morning on Nov 8/0/ at Deux-Montaqgnes, Quebec CANADA

  • When we lived in Lae, New Guinea, Dad built this little runabout. My parents named it after my sister Elisabeth, who we’d nicknamed Libby at the time. That’s her about to splash lemonade on the bow. My father is behind the pole, holding onto the boat. My brothers Timothy and Frank are on either side of the boat. The two other kids on the left of this picture are onlookers, their names unknown. ............................................................ • A hot air balloon that is so brilliant and colorful that rainbows simply refuse to appear in its presence! The photo is totally “un-touched”, straight from the camera. It was taken with a Canon EOS 10D with a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L telephoto zoom lens @ 200mm. The shutter speed was 1/350th sec at f/16. The camera’s ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto tripod was used. • This photo was taken on a walk around Derwentwater and is a long exposure, 30 second shot which I managed to get on my Canon 500D, 18-55 kit lens and B+W ND110 filter. Reason for the ND110 was to remove the other boats in the background and any stray people that may wander up on the launch bit! :)
