The Royal Albert Bridge that spans the Tamar river on the border between Cornwall and Devon in South-West UK. / This railway bridge was opened in 1859 and was built by probably the best engineer of the Victorian era, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and is still in daily use now. / I took this shot on a cold November morning just before the sun fully came up. The town of Saltash in Cornwall are celebrating the 150th anniversary of this grand old bridge and of Brunel himself in May. For details of events please Click Here See my video on YouTube
Caretakers cottage on the edge of the Cataract Gorge, Launceston, Tasmania, Australia.
I captured this photo today after the rain had cleared. I used a longer exposure, tripod and two ND8 filters & a polarizer for the effect. / Thanks for viewing :)
Cataract Gorge, Launceston Tasmania
This photo was taken in a local ruined building, its a fantastic place, great for photography….. I really liked this photo because of the incorporation of the band posters on the wall, a friend and i spent about an hour just looking at the layers and layers of posters on the walls, and my friend even found a poster of his dads old band in one of the rooms from about 30 years ago…
Don’t shoot the messenger, I only took the photo.
Possibly my favorite photo that I’ve captured. Not sure exactly why. I don’t do a lot of street photography, but yesterday I decided to go out and see what I could find. This alleyway captured my attention. / I actually didn’t know the young man was in the frame when I shot the photo. He walked out from the back door of the shop for a cigarette, I saw a glimpse of him out the corner of my eye so I quickly shot the photo and left, it wasn’t until I got home that I noticed I captured him. / By the way, this is in Launceston behind the Quadrant Mall. For anyone who’s been to or lives in Launceston, you’ll know this looks nothing like Launceston. more like something from a completely different city, or even country. Edit 11/April/09 – I recently found out that this spot no longer exists, it’s been filled up with brick and turned into a room at the back of the cafe. I’m very grateful I was able to capture this when I did. thanks for viewing :)
Thought this one would make a cool t-shirt.
And now for something completely different, Just something I’ve been playing around with since I haven’t really dabbled in this street graffiti style before.

The Vintage Car Museum in Cimitere St Launceston Tasmania has some gems including a number of Indian Scouts of which this is the most immaculate. / Originally had this pic on here as a normal shot but wanted to see how it looked as an HDR. / So I made a 1 F/stop light and a 1 F/stop dark copy so I had 3 versions. / Then I did a 3 shot blend as HDR in Photomatix and tweaked the levels. / I liked the HDR version better so I changed it over. Nikon D40 / Sigma 10-20mm @ 20mm / ISO 200 / F-5.6 / 0.77 sec / No Flash / Tripod mounted / Photomatix 3 shot blend featured in HDR Photography group 4th June 2009 / featured in Natural Color & Light group 4th June 2009
