This shot was taken in Copacabana in 2006, a little town in the north of Bolivia, situated on the bank of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3800 mts. / There was a big celebration in town that day and so much to see and discover. But I was so tired that I decided to sit down and rest for a while when those two men sat just in front of me. I took so many pictures of them but this one is my favorite.

Cusco, Peru’ ! / While walking in Cusco a few days ago I met this little girl, Flor, and her sister Yolanda ! I had already taken a picture of them last year ” Flor y Yolanda ” and when I showed them a copy of the photo.. they were so impressed that they asked me to take more pictures. This is just one of the many I took ! She is so confident and loves to be photographed !!! I love this picture for the way she poses here, the way she smiles, her spontaneity.. and the beautiful contrast of colors !!!

Cusco, Perú !!! / This is one of the first shot I took in Cusco this year !!! / I had just arrived and I was feeling a bit strange and not really in the mood to take pictures of people.. I was maybe thinking about life a bit too much ! / But when she passed by I said something funny to her and pressed the bottom !! / I´m glad i did !

This picture was taken in Pisaq near Cusco, Peru’ in 2006 ! / The ruin of Pisaq is about 20 miles from Cusco and like the more famous Machu Picchu was an important city during the Inca empire. / It sprawled across three mountains at the altitude of about 3600 mt offering visitors spectacular views.

Taganga ( Sta Marta ), Colombia! I visited this little village near Santa Marta on the North Coast of Colombia a few weeks ago. People seemed to be really friendly and enjoying a simple life ! / In this quite and tranquil place I just found peace, enjoying sun and eating lot of coconut rice and fresh fish. / While eating in one of the many restaurant by the sea after a day on the beach, I noticed those two little boys trying to catch somehow a fish and everything they could !!!

Cusco, Peru´! El Cafe Extra is the place I like more in Cusco ! / Nice and quite, welcomes tourists and local people ! / There are stories about Pablo Neruda and Che Guevara enjoying the nice coffee here when they visited the city…!!! / Not sure it´s true, but what I´m sure is that coffee here, locally produced, really taste great..! / Mr Castro is one of the many regulars, he is nice and friendly although he gets deep in thoughts sometimes ! / I love his face and expression! this is one of the many shot I took during one of the many breakfasts at El Cafe´ Extra !
Pisaq, Perú ! / I had already walked up to the Temple of the Sun in Pisaq a few times.. but this time I noticed how beautiful the color of the green mountains was in a late afternoon..

I did not know.. that if you take a picture, and you infrared it and then you change it to black and white.. and then you do sepia.. this is what you get.. lol!.. aint it cool ? .. I love the effect..
Pisaq, Cusco – Perú - / I met those two little girls from a little village near the ruins of Pisaq, close to Cusco. / At the beginning they were a bit shy and they didn’t seem very keen to be photographed. / But I gained their trust after chatting a little bit.. and I managed to take a few pictures of them.
Ayacucho, Peru ! Quechua and Aymara were the main languages spoken by the native people of the central highland of South America before the arrival of the spanish ! / In the rural areas of Ayacucho, in central Peru, like in the areas around Cusco the majority of native people still speaks Quechua and some of them barely spanish ! / I didn´t meet many tourists during the time spent in this part of Peru and i really felt immerse in a different reality ! / .
