  • daughter’s eye

  • Enjoy!

  • Originally B&W film shot, I then coloured it in photoshop. A photo from my 1940’s/50’s inspired series of my sister.

  • I finally got to paint this from my digital manipulation, Don’t Give Up Searching . I’m so pleased with the result. I used a few different textures and oil paint and made the eye brown rather then blue so that the image was unified in pallet to suit a college project so that I could paint this particular piece without abandoning duty. / UPDATE- / In 2008 this painting was STOLEN. / It was being displayed in Bentley Pines Restaurant with a group of other art from fellow students. toward the end of the year the restaurant went though refurbishments and stored the works in a disabled toilets :/ we were asked to collect the work but this painting had already gone before it could be collected. Ive contacted all the people in charge and been forwarded around like a telstra customer on hold and still haven’t gotten it back. :(

  • Yes, I’m still bored so here is my daughter’s eye done in the exact same way as my younger son’s ‘Opal’ Eye. Enjoy!

  • Photograph

  • Completed in 2004, age 17 This is a slightly cropped version of the original, due to the limits of my camera. My original signature got cropped out so I had to insert a new one in photoshop; in the original it is not actually located there. Original size: (40” x 30”) The two subjects are posed in similar positions, each having a dark, circular central focus., Both images have lines above and surrounding the centres, which draw attention towards the centres. The vertical composition help strenghten the feeling of height given by the vertical lines. Both subjects are organic, however one, the eye, has straight lines and geometrical shapes, while the rose has curvy lines and organic shapes. In the eye, the centre is literally dark, while in the flower the darkness is created by shadows. Medium: Acrylic paint See my other dyptych: This work has been featured in Alphabet Soup Works by Category / Featured/Popular / Origami/Ori-plastic / Drawings,Paintings and Graphics / Flowers, Trees and Plants / Water and Waterscapes / Scenery / Light, Shadow, and Reflections / Living Creatures / Human Portrait / Japanfluence / Canada / Still Life More Paintings: / / / / / / / Sample Black and White Art Works: / / / / Sample Flower Art: / / / / For more images please visit the category links at the top.

  • Beneath the surface there are blocks of time / Investments in identity and a sense of knowing… Treasures locked away waiting for the call of the wild / A source of pleasure as you become familiar with my / Azure blue and my tonic green amiability / The telling is the buzzing round your ears / Slapping at thin air as I avoid all contact / with your absent mind / Absent now from a place below the surface Where I swore you were going to find / All that was left of me / Rusted key. / Linaji Linaji 2009

  • Soo I got alittle frustrated with all the smoke here in southern California, and noticed ash all over my patio….so decided to paint with it. / Just sad to see alll those trees and homes gone, and decided there must be some good somewhere from all this disaster and 2 lost firemen. This painting will be a reminder to me of the horrible loss, and the 2 men whom lost there lives because of someones evil selfish pleasure. ~Artistmind / myspace.com/Artistmind 8.5×11” card paper / mixed medium: ink oil paint, earth, ash, watercolor, acrylic, paint
