  • Skies alight with burning fire / Smouldering with clouds of grey / Flashing yellows, to admire / Blinding light in dancing play / To what power can compare / This awesome sight that we behold / What could make a person stare / And make a story here unfold / A feline, such a stunning beast / Who’s beauty cannot be denied / Such beauty for thine eyes to feast / Of shimmered gold and blackened hide / The leopard proudly takes her stance / They say her spots cannot be changed / And while she makes her perfect dance / To want to would just be deranged / By Julie Langford . Julie Langford whom we all know and love here at RedBubble, approached me when I posted the original Poser excited at doing a collaboration where she would apply a sunset to the image. I accepted, and needless to say the result is stunning as you see before you! But then, Julie asked if I would like her to write some prose to accompany the piece when I posted it, and again I accepted. The poem is also hers, and I must say she has made me proud! We hope you all enjoy this collaboration or as I like to call it a “Coolaboration”! I am going to pledge to donate 100% of all sales proceeds from cards and prints of this beautiful collage to Wildlife Conservation Society / / / / / / / Portfolio Areas / Tigers / Wildlife / Macro / Landscape / Birds / Abstracts / Cats~wild and domestic

  • Another use for the transform tools in Photoshop – this time, no photographs used. I just drew a random shape with the pen tool. filled it with a blue, purple, grey gradient – and then tranformed like mad to get the shape of the head and wings. The eyes I put in with a circular marquee and the body and feet I drew in, again with the pen tool. / / Not as nasty looking as the fish, more of a wise old man look. / / Hope you like it.

  • Quite a while ago, a lovely and passionate woman, a wondeful writer [yet not many know this] – wrote a story and asked me my opinion of it. Immediately, after reading it, and wiping the tears from my eyes [no, not kidding], I felt totally inspired to create. We both agreed that I should create my vision image from her story, and it has taken a long time to get there. / / The image vision was instant, but getting it onto a digital image the way I wanted it to look, meant I had to learn certain things. 3D rendering for one [I have practised that on other, previous images], I had to get my merging flawless, and of course, I had to go get the shots I needed as well, and then I could start the work. / / Then this pain in my hands started up, which slowed the process down even further, but today – I managed to finish the piece, and send a preview to the beautiful writer – she approves, and wants it posted too – so here we go. / / If you have not read this story – Please, go and read it before you have a good look at this image. It will let you see this image for what it is, you will see things in it after reading the story, that you probably won’t see if you just look at the image on its own. / / The Story is called The Greatest Gift / / and was written by the very talented ECGardner / / Enjoy it!, Its worth it I promise. / / Hope you like what Erin and I created together here. / / Main background image was taken on a Welsh Redbubble meet at Kenfig Pool in May 2008 / / I have been inspired by many works, and many artists, and have done tons of collaborations, but nothing has ever inspired me such as Erin’s story did

  • I remember when I was a small child my first view of Mount Nankeira, with a backdrop of stars. / I stood holding Nanna’s hand, feeling the the pull of the great unknown, and knowing that someday I would be exploring those same Nebulas and Stars. / Standing here at the edge of the Sundering Sea, the mountain was awesome, but more awesome was my future beyond. This is a collaboration between Julie Langford and I . I used Julies image Nothing is Too Big with a Hand to Hold

  • Like a star with no light remaining, void of all purpose and all alone in this world, she sits. Alone, the wierd and strange of the unfamiliar environment surround her. It envelopes her equally unfamiliar body which now feels the cold, damp air crawl over her, as if under her new skin. She lifts her head to see past it, but fog of evil regret, of passed mistakes, obscure her view. Darkness keeps her comany now, something she has never witnessed before, although, she has heard many people speak of it, of their fears about it. Fear, a barrier that she will have to learn to overcome, or to live with, like the mere mortals she has tried to protect from it – forever til this point. Cast out, she beckons death! Cast down, like torrents from Heaven, all power, removed from her very soul. Fallen! Its a sad day when Angels fall.
