  • Olinda, near the Hamer Arboretum, Dandenong Ranges.

  • This is again, from a drive through the back roads of the Dandenong ranges in Victoria. I was just driving around and stopping to photograph things that caught me eye (I wound up lost too). This is a plot of land behind a farmhouse near Seville.

As night falls, a solitary waterfall is all that remains of the passing storms, returning the much needed rain to the swollen seas of the shipwreck coast.   • First Light on rocks below lookout at Chalet lookout on Mount Buffalo, Vic, Australia.

  • The Butchart Gardens in Brentwood Bay on Vancouver Island, Canada, is one of the world’s premier floral show gardens. Jennie Butchart began to shape this magnificent landscape in 1904. She established, in the style of the grand estates of the period, several distinct gardens to evoke a range of aesthetic experiences.   • Looked out of the window yesterday evening – thought the sky showed some promise – so tootled off to Black Rock, near Barwon Heads. Wasn’t disappointed.

  • Pastel on Colourfix sanded paper – 70cm x 50cm This is the Howqua River near Sheepyard Flat, not far from Mansfield in northern Victoria. Peter, my husband, and I had the most wonderful camping trip here a couple of years ago which resulted in several paintings. I have been yearning to return ever since! This is my favourite time of day for artwork – late afternoon/early evening!
