  • This is part one of a new series I’m calling “Forbidden Worlds.“ As soon as we entered hyper-space I knew there was a problem, the stabilizers weren’t working and it was all I could do to drop back into normal space. / We had a nice cargo of Animal Crackers for the zoo on “Zoltin Gree”,I had a feeling there would be some bad tempered Hellfire Cats, not my problem, right now I had to get the ship to a safe haven. / There really wasn’t much on the charts for this sector of space,in fact there was only one system within range and it was under Edict.Still any port in a storm,no choice really, told the crew to grab on to something,we were going in. / Everything was ok until I ran into a laser cannon, should’ve known, the laser sliced through the ship,at that point,it was every being for himself, the ship was breaking up around me as I cut down through the atmosphere. / I just had time to notice maybe cities, maybe a space station or a gigantic ship in low orbit, then we hit,I managed to bring what was left of the ship to a crash landing in a shallow sea,swamp,bog….whatever. / Not sure how long I was out,but when I came around O’Malley was leaning over me and running her hands over my body, that woke me up some more,I was reaching for her when she slapped me across the side of the head. / She told me she was just checking to see if I had broken bones, then said my bones seemed to be ok,ya,I’ll bet. / So we,ve been here 3 months, there are just me and O’Malley, the others were dead, for a couple of days we had the Reaver – Galika, with us,but we woke up on day 4 and she/he/ was gone, maybe went for help, probably not!. / I was right about the space station, and the cities, but we have not seen any movement at all,we can’t go very far across this bog without sinking. / There seem to be things under the surface, maybe not,but not sure we really see anything, tired all the time, keep asking O’Malley if she wants to check my body again. / No luck there. / Started this diary, who knows maybe someday a being will read it,gonna rest now.

  • Taken from the Yosemite Valley floor on a clear, cold night in March 2007. One of the images from my “Yosemite By Night” composition. I was particularly pleased to see both the Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls turning up so well in the shot. Canon EOS 20D, EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, Focal Length: 18mm, Aperture: f/4.5, Shutter: 6 min, ISO100

  • A night time photo ? No / / I took this photo 21 years ago in the winter of 1987. The river is the Pestigo river in Northeren Wisconsin. I took the photo around 1:00 P.M. in the afternoon using a small aperature of f22 and a fast shutter speed of 1000 which gave the star and night time apperance. / / I have always liked this photo and when joining Red Bubble I wanted to share it, but could not find it. I was in my photo closet and came across a album that was not in the plastic container with all the others. When I looked into it to see if there was any photos there it was. / / The photo is a 35 mm print and remains untouched other then a few dust particules that still were on my scanner after cleaning the glass. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do sharing it with you. / / Please view Larger

  • As I was getting ready to start working on this space artwork I put on Steve Roach’s “Dream circle” ambient album and started looking through my astronomy books… An hour later I was in the space mood – full of ideas and cosmic wonder. Although I knew what I wanted to do beforehand, getting into the right mental state has always been important to me. Without it the creation process feels shallow or even empty. You have to sort of “be there” – inside your creation – to make it good.

  • The Stretched Series. Earlier. Isaiah 40:22 He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, / and its people are like grasshoppers.

  • (best viewed large) Star trail at High Country Lavender Farm in Porepunkah, Vic. The nights in the Alpine Region get very chilly indeed, especially on clear nights. I intended to take a 60 minute trail, however the fog started to drift into the valley which you can see coming into frame and later fogged up the lens ! But I was happy with 30mins, got the effect I was after.

  • The Midnight Star is a very cold, very old and barren planet, apparently uninhabited, and the Coliseum is one of the few ruins discovered so far of a long departed civilization. / This gigantic structure is carved out of a single mountain, and if you look at the 3d sample below, it appears to be a type of race course, or a consecutive series of smaller arenas or training grounds. Possible seating as carved levels for over a million beings our size, less if they were larger in size, more if they were avian. There are no indications of dwellings as we know them, so maybe they just commuted for scheduled events. It’s difficult to date, as no artifacts were found. This image was taken on the outside of the structure as we headed back to the shuttle, the coliseum is perfectly round with striated vertical walls, and these terraced divided areas all around the outside, pens perhaps, or holding areas, or parking? Yet another collaboration with Owlspook and another of her lovely fractal creations, Midnight Star: Here is the converted artifact, notice the six chambers with adjoining gateways: Hope you like these, Owlspook, imagine pod racing, or perhaps chariot relays with a melee in between, or maybe ballet, or multiplex movie theaters!

  • The planet Eleganz, named by expedition leader Captain Krause, is a beautiful striated world covered with colorful plant life similar to corals and lichens that grow in fantastic colonies at the base of the strange thin curved ridges that soar vertically thousands of meters high. The atmosphere is mostly Earth normal, if not a little oxygen-rich, and somewhat lighter in gravity. Most of the planet’s water is below ground, the weather so far has been mild, even the storms, which have been described as “soft tornadoes”. Bunny’s lovely original fractal Elegance of Light: and the converted terrain object:

  • This cosy little scene came from a recent transmission. We have no idea as to its location or origin. Or when this visual was taken. Or even if it is genuine. / Would appreciate it if anybody can verify its authenticity. / Created in Artmatic Voyager (planetscape), Bryce 6/DAZ (the moons, the spacecraft, the towers and the foreground rock formation), and Photoshop for the wisp of cloud, stars and galaxy. Assembled in Photoshop CS2. / Criticism welcome as always.
