I have already posted a photo basically the same as this, slightly different angle, but after looking again, I think I like this one better. Any opinions? Please check out Melinda Kerr

This is a row of willows that is not more than a 100 mt. far from my house, in the country side near to Scalenghe in Piedmont, Italy. / I took this on a very early morning last november, 30 minutes after sunrise, while a thick fog was coming around, quickly obscuring the entire scene in just five minutes. Hope you enjoy it, thanks for viewing. Paolo
Untouched Photograph from my Colour & Motion Study series.
Pastel 75cmx54cm on Canson paper 1996 / Collection of the artist. An amazing thunderhead cloud appeared over the escarpment & I happened to capture it on camera as I walked down the road. Some of this painting was completed ‘plein air’ as I lived across the road back then & was able to set up my easel outside to capture the constantly changing colours of the mountains. What was a dairy farm at the time has now been converted into an organic egg farm & large sheds dominate the landscape. The green grassy hill below Flat Rock is exceptionally steep & the local farmer who owns this particular spot still slashes up the hill on his tractor. Late afternoon on a snowy day, County Derry, N. Ireland. Taken with a Canon EOS 50, Fuji Reala iso 100, +2 exposure compensation. Scanned, resized then post processed with levels and curves and a hint of usm. The day I took this photo, a snowy fog came down, and I lost all sense of directions. I wandered about for ages, very cold, and getting really scared.
Landscape in vertorama taken in Geelong, Australia. Still, wouldn’t be a signature shot without that hint of water ;)

ARCHITECTURE IS WHERE YOU FIND IT / Architecture is to do with the designing of buildings and structures, but in its broader meaning it also includes the design of our complete built environment. It can be found in outback areas, on mountain peaks, almost anywhere on the land, even on the sea in the form of oil rigs and it surrounds us in our places of abode. We tend to take it for granted and complain when its appeareance doesn’t suit our taste. Architecture provides us with shelter, places to work, gives us points of reference in our urban wilderness, but most important of all, it provides a fundamental basis for the way we live. Architecture is ephemeral, can be a thing of great beauty, and its elements can be pillaged and used as building blocks by successive generations. Past civilizations are often known through their achievements in architecture and certain works have become cultural, political and artistic icons. Presumably a family once lived in this little house at Fernie, British Columbia. It now stands derelict and isolated, yet it seems to exist as a monument to the toil of hard working rural people anywhere. The image was captured during summer 2008 towards the end of a photographic journey through the Canadian Rockies. Thanks for taking the time to view my photos and feel free to comment. You are welcome to visit my photography website My most recent publication ‘ARCHITECTURE WITH CHARACTER’ includes images of this rural house. Click on image below for a preview.
Lake Kochelsee, Bavaria, Germany. / This is a very rural region, countryside, I live here. / In the background: Alpen Mountains This magic place belongs to my neighborhood! / I was very lucky (and happy) that the swan was passing by just at that moment. Captured in rural Boulder County, Colorado….let me just say this was honest to God unbelievable to photograph. I had to handhold these shots because of my bum knee and well, the lightning was going crazy right above me. But I managed to get some dang nice shots off. This being one of them. I am really happy with this one, I debated about a square crop, but in the end I figured why the heck not, nothing ventured, nothing gained, right folks? Minolta 50mm f1.7 Lens / ND4 and CPL / Lightroom & PS I hope ya all like it! / —-John

A long walk from somewhere, and a long walk to go … had enough time to set myself up for this shot, as it took ages for the only two persons on this path to get into position. Hoi An, Vietnam / FEATURED in #1 Artists of Redbubble Group 23/11/2009 / 148 Views on 24/11/2009
