Some might see the morning fog as a shroud of grey that settles in their soul and stays with them even when the sun breaks through to warm their skin. / Others see the fog as a beautiful mist that opens up to reveal the brightness of life and a reason to feel good about the outside…on the inside. / by Annette Hansen —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / Taken at Gympie, Queensland Thank you to RedBubble for featuring Veil of Mystery on the 29th December and the Trees Group for making it part of their June Gallery.

Shot this back in November, 2004, when the grass was much greener, and there was water in the dam. There’s only been water in that dam one other time since then, and it lasted around 6 weeks….this is a nice reminder of what we used to have…. When everything seems to be going against you, / remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, / not with it. / by Henry Ford —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— / An illusion image I created with three of my photographs to depict the struggles in life – sometimes it feels as though you are ‘flying into the wind’. Thank you to the Tree Group for featuring Against the Wind in their July 2008 gallery.

Fields Of Strength / by Marie Paradise / / Whenever my journey gets hard to bear / To fields I go to meet You there. The Holy psalms I shall recount / My horse of courage I shall mount. My journey through this land gets longer / My hunger for Your home gets stronger. When hills to climb get only steeper / My love for You gets only deeper. I shall not stray nor lose my course / With rein in hand, I’ll guide my horse / To fields of good and plenty be / These fields, the ones You promised me / Are void of enemies and grief. / These fields supply me with relief. I mount my horse, I’m on my way / And in Your fields, My Lord, I’ll stay. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-- / / / Taken early one misty morning at Miriamvale, Queensland / -—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-

This spectacular coastal scene was a merely 100m from my bed for about 5months – Many times I ventured out early and late to watch and attempt to photograph it how I would best remember it – I hope in years to come this photograph will do it justice… see more photographic works from North Qld. / Nth Qld

Moffat Headland Moonrise (Caloundra). This was the night of the recent eclipse. I was hoping to get some colours of the sunset coinciding with the moonrise but the clouds wouldn’t co-operate. I was happy though with the soft glow effect.

The day summer arrived and it got stinking hot. This shot was taken at 5am and not a cloud in sight. The days temperature climbed up to 40.2°C in Brisbane. Summer is over is just over a week. This morning was certainly what I would expect in winter, crisp, vibrant and cloudless. Keep it coming…love it

At Hunters Gorge on the Diamantina River in outback Queensland. The bird life here was amazing. The setting sun hit the gorge wall lighting it up glowingly and it then reflected in the still waters,I wached as slowly this pelecan drifted into the reflected glow of the golden sun.

The SS Dicky was washed ashore onto Dicky Beach in 1893 during a cyclone. It was re-floated, but again, heavy seas turned the ship about and back onto the sand where it remains to this day. / / The suburb and beach was named after the ship. The beach is an unspoilt stretch of sun-drenched sand, on Queensland’s magnificent Sunshine Coast. Taken with my 5D and 16-35mm lens and I was so lucky to have a nature spectacle as the fog rolled in from West creating a mystic ambience
