  • As mentioned in Green Triangle I was perched on the top deck of a Cruise liner as we departed Venice. Probably the single best experience as you get to appreciate the true aesthetics of the city from a seriously amazing vantage point. I must have shot off about 50 photos – it was amazing, moving from industry to picturesque abodes and landscapes. Almost movie set like – it was a true highlight! (I will have to post a detali shot too – however it’s taking me 25 mins per upload at the moment too long!!!!)

  • Docking at various Greek Islands, I could’nt tear myself away from the actual ports, as to me they provided the visual interest. Awesome signage and colour coded curbs, along with industrial qualities proved and endless escape for me.

  • On a moody Spring evening, dense but scattered clouds roll across the bay threatening to open up and pour on anything that falls their path. The setting sun casts its light across the clouds making them glow in a way that makes them appear to be on fire. The stunning colour of the sand comes up through the shallow water in unusual blues and greens while at the same time mixing with the oranges and reds of the sky.

  • The Arch, Twelve Apostles, Twelve Apostles and London Bridge. Port Campbell National Park, Victoria, Australia.

  • The last remains of the old Port Willunga jetty, South Australia. Port Willunga Beach was recently named as the only Australian location in ‘Travel and Leisure’ magazine – hip travel list of emerging destinations. This is still one of my favourite locations to photograph and is only a 40 minute drive south of Adelaide. Pentax *ist DS – DSLR. Also available:

  • The old Port Willunga Jetty was taken at dusk at Port Willunga Beach, South Australia, Australia. This is my favourite beach in SA. Photoshop used to enhance the colour of the sunset with colour balance and filters. This was taken on a tripod using F32, 10 second exposure, ISO 200 and 75mm lens. This was taken using a Canon DSLR EOS 350D. This shot was featured in the Timber and Water Group.

  • THE SUBJECT: / A misty, moody Australian bush scene was photographed along an old logging track seems slightly primordial. THE LOCATION: / In the wilds of the Willi Willi National Park , up in the mountains far west of Kempsey, NSW, Australia on a very wet and chilly winter day. / This view in the opposite direction to Into the Mist #1 . THE MAKING of ‘Into the Mist #1’: / I had not realised the difficulty in photographing misty scenes such as this but I soon discovered that even though the light was very low there was still a big problem with the dynamic range. Aperture Priority did not work for me here so I opted for Shutter Priority, 1/60sec being the slowest speed recommended for a hand held shot. With the mist being so close, the resulting f/3.7 kept the background nice and soft. / Even though few photographs were made throughout the day due to the weather and time of year, six of us in two 4WDs had a great day out in the bush communing with nature. / One bloke, who has travelled 250,000Km in such road conditions in his 4WD had never had a mishap until the last two times we were out in the wilds. Last time it was a fuel line fracture and a flat tyre. This time it was another fuel line fracture! / Fuji S9600: RAW, 1/60sec @ f/3.7, Manual focus, ISO80, Hand held. / Lightroom 1.1 & Photoshop CS3. • We had an early start at work on June !st, and we were blessed with this awesome sunrise. It made my day to capture this beautiful site. Again this is Rock Point, as I am chained to my work, my location of shots don’t vary, but the colors do! Thank you for viewing and I do so hope you enjoy yet another work sunrise. :) / Taken at Bear Cove in Port Hardy, BC on Vancouver Island. / /

  • Port Noarlunga Jetty. / South Australia. A combination of all my favourite techniques: / Wide angle, long exospure, HDR and night photography. Canon 50D. / 10-20mm (at 10mm) HDR – 3 Bracketed Exposures (up to 30 seconds) blended manually in CS3. The longest exposure (2 stops overexposed) brought out the unusual streaks from the jetty lights. Click for larger preview. See also: /

  • Spent a week last summer with my family on the Great Ocean Road. Really struggled with poor light until sunset on the last day. Did you catch that sunset Dad, my daughter, Sarah asked….......Hell Yeah.
