Ranch fence in California, USA. North of Los Angeles about 100 miles, in the Tehachapi mountains.
Large oak tree in California….....just breaking buds in spring. All the original limbs have broken off with age and snow load. These limbs are all secondary growth.
The rolling hills of Gippsland with sheep and cows grazing.
Sheep grazing late in the afternoon, just after a severe rainstorm had passed, the sun came out.
Greetings watchers and welcome to Boreas Pass, Colorado at 11,481 feet high in altitude! This place is just magical….the wildflower fields go on forever…..and it is total serenity…no one around at all. Silence, among the high peaks. Gorgeous to say the least. You honestly feel like you are in heaven up here…on top of the world….where the air is so utterly fresh and the smell of the wildflowers is hypnotizing! You literally just stand in complete and total awe. Take it all in and breath….and the one thing I personally am proud of about this shot is how I was able to get that lighting! I am not sure of the peak here… Wikipedia has a nice page up about Boreas Pass Interesting lil facts on there like “The pass was formerly known as Breckenridge Pass in the 1860s” Was just informed on Naturephotographers.net from some of my fellow Colorado Photographers, that this is Quandary Peak Minolta 5D / Minolta 18-200 DT Lens / Singh-Ray CPL / Dynatran 858 Tripod Thoughts most welcomed / —-—-—-—-—-—-— / More of my work can be seen on my website at http://jdebordphoto.com / All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved. “The Road To Home” Ya know, sometimes I just sit in amazement when I am shooting and just look, gaze, and take it all in…..if photography has honestly taught me anything, it’s to see better, noticing things you normally wouldn’t even see. Case in point, this shot here. Most people probably just drive on by this place never giving it a second glance, but to me, it was something very special…...so special that I spent about 30 minutes here shooting it. Living in Colorado really has it’s benefits this time of the year…as Autumn sets in and the sun goes south, the light becomes so utterly magical, thanks to our elevation. It becomes so warm and saturated in the morning, that everything seems so alive….so gold. Captured on a rural backroad between Boulder and Lyons, the old road leading to cattle pastures I felt made a very worthy subject, especially considering the colors involved, the light, and the overall composition with the tree. Let me know what ya all think! / —-John —-—-—-—-—-—-— / More of my work can be seen on my website at http://jdebordphoto.com / All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved. Late afternoon on pastures in Northern California.
NZ is a country with stunning scenery, 4 million people and 40 million sheep. / The countryside is dominated by lush green pastures, hills and mountains. Winter had arrived !
Jesus often went to a quiet place to pray. Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Mark 1:35 A crop from an acrylic abstract landscape painting with decorative side bar and additinal digital effect added.
Taken in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales UK. The wind was howling and the clouds screaming by … whilst this lone sheep stood defiant.
A late afternoon sun casts long shadows and warmly highlights the autumn dressed trees and pastures in the Cowichan Valley, South east Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada). / The mountain in the background is, ” Eagle Heights mnt”.
Lost in Utah would have been a more apt title after the GPS affectionately known as “Dorothy” lead me to a graveyard instead of a lake lol. I discovered some gorgeous countryside along route. There is nothing better than getting lost :))
Louisiana landscapes tend to be rather quiet compared to many of the places I’ve visited. But there is a subtle beauty here that sometimes shows up without warning. I hope I captured some of that with this acrylic painting.

a foggy morning .. / Nikon D90 sold a card
a glimpse into what we are going through here.. it makes finding these images out in nature worth it.. one set of neighbors(pink house) seem to think that yelling at us and calling us losers..is ok.. in front of my 7 yr old child… ie ..we have the neighbors from hell next door..and are still in the process of leaving this place..hopefully soon..and I would not wish this on anyone…the hell they have put us through.. I just try and show nature at it’s finest and my husband and child and I just am tired of their constant harrasment. I checked and they are not in photo life magazine as a emerging photographer..i am so frustrated…as are my husband and child… note / Many thanks to the Four Police Officers for coming out to see the video and have a chat with our neighbors (pink house)....it has been constant daily harassment from them and Perhaps this will put an end to it..and thank to Nikon for putting the video component into the camera:thumbsup: it has come in handy….have a great weekend.. / Nikon D90
