  • Cottage, dock and boat, reflecting in the waters of a lake in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada.

  • A beautiful valley in Trent Hills, Ontario.

  • I guess the title says it all… Taken in Oro-Medonte Township, about 10 minutes outside of town (Orillia). Oro-Medonte Twp is the combination of 2 townships (happened during the county re-arrangements). While Oro was considered more of a farming area, Medonte also has farms, but the land here is hilly and the roads wind and curve and climb from one concession to another. This particular area isone where I shoot fairly often – further along the road (you just see the beginning of the area in the background) is a section known as “The Tunnel”. In summer and fall the trees form a leafy canopy overy the roadway, intertwined with each other the branches keep sunlight at bay on a hot day. In winter, right after a snow, the heavey tree tops bow down towards the roadway enclosing you in the winter cold. The clouds in the sky were enhanced with the Lucis Art “exposure” filter.

  • Sunset at Van Horne Landing, Dryden, Ontario, Canada Calm water, beautiful sunset. / A perfect end to a perfect day. / Pull up a chair. / Sit. / Relax. / Enjoy. All rights reserved. Olympus E-510

  • Morning light and reflection on Lake of the Woods, Ontario. / When I took the photo below on a different day, I was standing only about 50 feet away from where I took the “Calm” photo. /

  • The reflection of this old barn is like our memories of a life gone by. We remember the past in general terms but the details may not be perfectly clear. Reflecting gives us a warm, fuzzy feeling. It is nice to remember. • After many weeks on the river we came to the sea in the night, but with the new day I could look back to the mouth of the Sharrosflow / I could remember the wonders I had seen, the hundreds of photos taken, I feel blessed that this experience was given me, my life may never be the same. / Always before it was Titan that called me, but now its the vastness of space and the thousands of worlds that await.

  • I share with you my holiday on the planet SharrosHome and my adventures across the terrain of this fair world and I hope someday to write a book of my travels, with photos of course. Long before we came to the guardian tower Toran Gor we passed though the high plateau and the mighty valley of the Sharrosflow. Here we crossed 300 miles of fertile ground, just waiting for development, of course it will never happen with the edict placed upon this planet, that states a town of not more than 1000 being are allowed, and only one town and one spaceport on the entire planet. At this point we are still 1500 miles from “Toran Gor” and access to the river below. / On our right we see the Pass of Heights, but that way is another adventure, for another year. / Also another trip as got to be to the source of this great river at “The Crystal Pools”, this when I have a couple of spare years, for its a long hike! Sharrosflow Mouth of the Sharrosflow

  • Dryden’s main employer, for years, has been the paper mill. With the severe downturn in the softwood/paper industry, it has been seriously throttled back but it is still limping along. Olympus E-510; 70-300 mm lens / ISO 400; f:5; 3/4 second Group Feature: / A Beautiful Blur – September 16,2009

  • The Regis Dam on Sagrelonus Sindi is slowly flooding the beautiful Galtriss valley, / and who knows what plants and animals will become extinct with the rising waters. Its all to do with progress, build first, then wonder what was destroyed in the process. / When fully flooded only the top of Mount Raynz will be visible.

  • Early days, the fire as died down, the rains have started, soon plants will take seed, life will find this tiny atoll in this vast ocean. all this knowing that the volcanic forces are still at work just below. We have still not named the planet above

  • Out beyond the Rim Worlds lies a little known nebula called The Cut. / It sits on the extreme outer edge of a yet unnamed galaxy, within this nebula is the system Grennya. / The system holds three planets Ruby, Emerald and Saphire, one could say they are three gems set against a background of jet black. Each planet is made up of a colored crystal, a “gem” if you will, mining of the planets is of course the prime objective, but for some unbeknown reason any attempt of cutting into the landscape results in the drill disintergrating on impact. And as with everything human, they never can take a hint. So time will tell, I’m sure they’ll keep trying, too bad they never learned to think outside the box.

  • Photos from my “One Day in Toronto” project, to capture the soul of the city.

  • A flock of Canada geese is startled as a rainbow strikes the surface of Wabigoon Lake. Not really, but it sounds good. lol. Olympus E-510; 40-150 mm lens. / ISO 400; f:8; 1/640 sec. / Equivalent focal length; 300 mm / Camera settings: predictive autofocus / sequential shooting / This is one of approximately seven frames. Dryden Ontario

  • With drought levels at an all time high its so nice to finally have rain, even the bare rock that would normally be covered by the waters of Lake Saspipi, as lush with new growth. Still, its always nice to see the sun breaking through the clouds, after the rain.

  • On my world the spring is always a good sign, new visitors blossom from the fields, meadows and hills. Sometimes strange new flora and fauna appear. But this spring someting quite unique appeared in our skies, flying machines of incredible design, and there are creatures in them, they call their race “human” and they say, we come from the stars. It is a time of wonder, and we always need new friends.

  • I was heading back home after a good day of fishing, I just wanted to be home with good food and a warm fire. But coming down the trail I got that feeling I sometimes get on cold nights like this. Its just one of those simple things we tend to forget in our busy lives. / I powered down the hover, turned off the lights, sat back and was rewarded with probably the greatest view on any world. A cold clear night, hardly any breeze, the sea like glass and the Dragons Eye Nebulas riding the sky with a backdrop of what looked like a billion stars. / Sometimes its those little things that have the greatest impact on you, and its times like this that let us know just how insignificant we really are in the vastness of space. So remember that feeling on those crisp nights, just stop and take in the night sky on whatever world you are, feel the peace ….........in the still of the night.

  • I took this at Raleigh Falls, near Ignace Ontario, Canada. Olympus E-3, 12-60mm / ISO 100, f 22, 1/4 sec., -1 stop exposure comp. / 24mm eqiuvalent focal length Group Feature: / Olympus and Four Thirds – November 12, 2009 / All Water in Motion – November 13, 2009 / Americas – Rural, Urban, Wild, Free – November 13, 2009 /
