Pre-dawn light with twilight blue from sky above reflecting off low lying mist, from Bogong High Plains, Alpine National Park, Victoria, Australia. Although it looks still in the valleys below it was very windy up at this high level and extremely cold. / Leica M3, Kodachrome 25 film. / © Copyright Ern Mainka
The SS Dicky was washed ashore onto Dicky Beach in 1893 during a cyclone. It was re-floated, but again, heavy seas turned the ship about and back onto the sand where it remains to this day. / / The suburb and beach was named after the ship. The beach is an unspoilt stretch of sun-drenched sand, on Queensland’s magnificent Sunshine Coast. Taken with my 5D and 16-35mm lens and I was so lucky to have a nature spectacle as the fog rolled in from West creating a mystic ambience I have also written a photographers guide if you are interested in knowing more about this site
#1 in the series of “Fog in Wilderness” Titled, “Mystic Woods” I used a blue hue with green, yellow orche, and burnt sienna in the foreground. I detailed the trees and paid particular attention to each tree branch (a time consuming process). Animal—wolf Original oil on canvas, 24×36. **Signed by artist (me)

“Where There is Light, There Must Also Be Darkness”, “Every man has a good and bad angel attending on him, all his life long.” – Robert Burton (“Anatomy of Melancholy”) “Man is his own star, and the soul that can, render an honest and a perfect man,Commands all light, all influence, all fate: nothing to him falls early or too late. Our acts are angels are, for good or ill: our fatal shadows that walk by us still.” – John Fletcher (“Upon An Honest Man’s Fortune”) “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” – Bible: 2 Corinthians (11:13-15)
Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn waterfall, in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, South Wales. A really enchanting place to visit…..though the walk to it is not for the faint hearted! Canon 400D + sigma 10-20 and filters. 2secs @ iso 100

From drizzle to drowning. From dawn to middle of the night dreams that wake me up with a “pow.” That’s it. The answer. Then in the morning the drift falls from a darkened hollow into swirls of vapor and across a seaweed forest. My pencil scrapes. My brush strokes. Awaken. Awake to dream again. A struggle to find an answer that is forgotten in the effort to do do do what I think I must must must and drive myself crazy trying to escape. To sleep on my feet in a daydream of forest palms towering over and pools of languid, blue, mirrors instead of piles of dirty laundry. Or maybe it is all really the same. / The answer laying in the soft white shift of a sheet from a drier in sunlight and waving at the light’s own laughter at the sun. / acrylic on fabric. about 4 ft x 7 ft not stretched. Hope it’s alright… / So everyone is aware – this is a photomanipulation – not an actual photo that I took…. / I manipulated sky, grass, clouds, colors…. :) to give it a fantasy feel… Peace, Claudia
