Originally a photo from my recent trip overseas but this has gone further then my usual photography and is more of an artwork. I really like what I’ve achieved and its thanks to the Redbubble community encouraging me to try new styles and be adventurous. I am at home and remembered I had this awesome dress and wanted to do some shots in it so I tried to capture a jump shot in which I looked like I was just flying aimlessly, because that’s kind of how I feel. I thought texture added something cool here but I kept a copy without it because I really like how it looks both with and without texture.

When the conditions are right where I live we experience the wonderful phenomena of sea fog. The first one I experienced was when I was “in between” cameras. I was devastated! I have been hoping ever since that we would get another one… I peered out the window today while I was on the phone and saw that today was the day! I had to make my apologies to my friend on the phone – a girl has to get her priorities right – and happily spent the next two hours snapping, with my young boys as my photography assistants. The title of this piece is inspired by one of my favourite scenes in Lord of the Rings. Gandalf the mighty wizard gives his life to ensure the freedom of his friends… and so my friend today gave to me the same gift of freedom as I hastily hung up the phone to explore my sea fog.

Well this is my favorite photograph taken at the holy beach of somnath,Gujrat in India. Very early morning I was taking the photograph of sea & fortunately I caught a gentleman praying to sea & sun. That person really added life to this photograph.

Travelling through Arizona I noticed so much desolation, abandoned structures, disconnected souls… which prompted me to stop and listen, I’m fascinated with connecting sound to the visual medium. / How do you visually capture the sound / of desolation…this is my attempt…. The transparency of the girl shows a dissociativeness with the landscape. / Is she there only in spirit? Not only until one is heard completely do they connect totally with their environment.

This was taken near Clare, two hours north of Adelaide, South Australia, on New Year’s Eve. The colours depicted a hot summer and a perfect end to that year. The power lines drew my eye to the distance and in a sense to the future, and all that it held. This was taken using a Canon DSLR EOS 350D. This shot was featured in the Simple by Design Group.
