Macro shot of flax which has a long leaf or ‘spear’. This was growing behind the historic Sydney Hospital, in the heart of the city. Some of these ‘spears’ didnt look too healthy, had begun to die at the end and had these rusty marks on them. They look to me like animal tracks across a green paddock – the sort of tracking you get with sheep following each other after rain across a paddock. /

A wedding gown sewn by nature… Off the beaten track in the Jizera mountains (Czech Republic), a signed path led us along the Jedlova brook finding its way through an old fir forest. On 5th September, autumn has already started in the valley, covering ground by beautifully colored leafs of few deciduous trees. Bronze-colored pools were alternated by admirable waterfalls, one of which is shown on this photograph. September 2007, Jizera mountains, Czech Republic. / Canon EOS 300X, Sigma 28-135, polarizing filter, two grad ND filters. Post-processing: noise reduction, crop, burn.

I found these little pink and white flowers at Murray Bay, Hungry Horse Reservoir, in northwestern Montana. This is part of the Great Bear Wilderness. I have no idea what kind of flowers they are.
