  • Magic permeated the place and the legends were rampant with tales of the wee people who inhabit the land… Sligachan / Isle of Skye / Scotland January 4, 2007

  • This is a picture of my barn. It was late winter of 2006. The window that is covered by snow, is about 4 feet off the ground. Snow falling in icy crystals / winds roaring pushing snow dunes / swirling vortexes of wonder land delight / on the day of no sun everlasting / pushing on as minutes pass / swirling snow builds on icy glass written by my daughter Tiffany

  • part of turton at a glance series / taken Lancashire UK

  • I finally found the tractor I have been looking for. I saw this old antique from the road and thankfully had my camera in tow. I braved the 3 feet of snow and frigid Newfoundland winds but I finally got my shot I’d been waiting to get. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

  • Loch of the Lowes lies in the beautiful scottish borders between Moffat and Selkirk. It flows into nearby St Mary’s loch (with its thriving sailing club) past old Tibbieshiels inn, hostelry and overnight stop for walkers on the southern upland way crossing Scotland. Overlooking the north end of the loch is a monument to James Hogg – the Scottish Poet known as the Ettrick Shepherd, friend and contemporary of Sir Walter Scott. Taken 4/3/08 (untouched) with a pocket fuji finepix A500 (There is a 2nd loch of the lowes further north in Perthshire, complete with osprey viewing centre – but you can see the wonderful fish eagle hunting here too if you are lucky!) My first ever feature on the home page ages on 23rd April 2008 and what a party that was…LOL See also : ‘i am a rock’ and ‘LoL’ loch of the lowes

  • Old barn with a new look. A BIG Thank-You goes to Kimberly Palmer for giving this old barn a new look. The county wants to tear this barn down. They claim it is an eye-sore… so sad. It has so much character!

  • Old barn with the American flag.

  • This is my work Wholey and soley, with only the back ground been by photoshop. / Penny Edwardes and myself had the chance to see these magnifficent horses and was just overwhelmed with the performance.

  • Outside of The Mount Evans Wilderness at Echo Lake, Colorado As the title suggests, nothing but clean, fresh mountain air at an altitude of 10,600 feet high! Processed in HDR, your thought are welcomed!

  • Second in a series of three sequential shots of a female mallard duck preparing to land. Lisle – Illinois – USA

  • This is the picture that I have waiting for. It was almost magic. It was worth the trip in cold very cold weather to get this. Its a little stream near by my home. / With a touch of Orton´s Top10 April 2009, in Neighborhoods Top10 February 2009, in Stream Crossing Top10 January 2009, in The Greatest View in the World Featured 2008 , in Freedom to Shine Featured 2008, in Scenic Scandinavia

  • Taken Just south of Winnipeg Manitoba Canada at 5:00PM December 30th 2008. That is a tiny crescent moon in The Sky! MY BUBBLESITE

  • Taken on a hike today in Blair Atholl Estate . Loch Ordie from a different angle. The birch trees and the larch had a hoar frost covering – the day was dull with fog sweeping over at times but a great day.

  • Appletreewick, Yorkshire Dales, in winter.

  • Nikon D70

  • -45 cold early morning Oxdrift, Ontario

  • The Sound of the Sun / Embrace of the Everlasting “It makes one all right, / though you hadn’t thought of it, / A sound like the sound of the sky on fire, / like Armageddon, / Whistling and crackling, the explosions of sunlight booming / As the huge mass of gas rages into the emptiness around it. It isn’t a sound you are often aware of, / though the light speeds / To us in seconds, / each dawn leaping easily across a chasm / Of space that swallows the sound of that sphere, / but If you listen closely some morning, when the sun swells Over the horizon and the world is stil / and still asleep, / You might hear it, / a faint noise so far inside your mind / That it must come from somewhere, / from light rushing to darkness, / Energy burning towards entropy, / towards a peaceful solution, / Burning brilliantly, spontaneously, in the middle of nowhere, And you, too, must make a sound that is somewhat like it, Though that, of course, you have no way of hearing at all.” ~ The Sound of the Sun by George Bradley Sun Pillar / Sunset near Chena River Lakes Recreational Park / Wilderness of North Pole Alaska / From my collection: / Emerquinox Spirit of Alaska / Emerquinox is a word I coined when I combined the words Emerge and Equinox. • Late winter afternoon and the day was turning into night, the frost was returning, the stillness was descending. Location: Lake Staffel, Bavaria, Germany. / Nikon D200, Sigma 18-200mm. f/7.1, 1/500s, 26 m, ISO 200mm. Tripod. Post-pro in CS4.

  • One of my favourite places that I discovered that day on a trip down to the Bavarian Alps. The weather and light were just light and I had to try for a few shots. They turned out darker than I’d planned so there is a wee bit of post-pro here but the scene is how I remember it. Got stuck in the snow and had trouble getting the car back on the road afterwards, but it was worth it. I am drawn back to this location whatever time of year, but this scene is special. Nikon D1X. Sigma 18-200mm. / Location: Near Leibersberg overlooking Lake Rieg, Upper Bavaria, Germany.
