The sisters knew they are beautiful so they posed for the camera for a long time until I got it “right”. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park

I love the shapes of this tree, it reminds me of a huge version of a bonsai. with the fog round it and the sun coming through it looked stunning

OK, I’ve been major absentee, and apologize for the unanticipated vanishing act. I moved to Big Sur, right on Pfeiffer Beach on February 27th. There’s no Internet at home requires a five minute drive to one of the Internet cafes in town. Three weeks ago a co-worker dropped full cup of coffee on the laptop, since replaced by a teeny Acer notebook I’m just getting used to. Hard drive saved, but everything’s in a new place.. / I MISS EVERYBODY HERE!! We’ve had rain and mudslides, storms and wind, and the spring is settling into….spring. A weekend of weather perfecto. By God it’s beautiful. My head’s still in a whirl, this is an extraordinary place. For me, it’s ten years of dreaming come true. More on that later, so much to tell. I’m figuring out my new digs, the landscape, cafes, and computer. Back to comment soon on all the wonderful work I’ve been missing out on from so many dear friends here. I’ll post some of the photographs I started to take. Please remember it’s me, the PAINTER taking pictures. This is the cabin I live in. It was built by the original Big Sur homesteaders around 1870, the Pfeiffers, and is on their original 80 acre property. Everything’s redwood. At the end of this sweet little brick walkway through the garden, is my sauna. That trellis over the front door porch is filling with pink roses. I’ve got the sun the moon the stars. / I’m happy.

This view was observed while on the boardwalk section of the Hidden Lake Trail on a return to the Logan Pass Visitor’s Center located in the far distance. The boardwalk is an effective means to keep the many visitors off of the sensitive terrain in the area, thus protecting it for everyone’s enjoyment. The flat area in the foreground is the Hanging Gardens where a colorful variety of wildflowers vie for attention. In the background left begins the southern section of a range of peaks known affectionately as The Garden Wall. In back of it lie Mt.Siyeh and Going-to-the-Sun Mountain; all in Glacier National Park.
