The setting sun reflects off the top of the clouds to dramatic effect in this scene. But perhaps even more impressive is the fact that I elected to drive the 50 yards from the pub that you can see in the picture to the place where I took the photo from, in a record breaking feat of sheer laziness. Even more (un)impressive is that I was only actually able to drive half way, because the road comes to an end shortly after the pub. In summary, I drove approximately 25 yards. I then grumbled and cursed as I covered the remaing few yards to the rock plateau where I pitched my tripod. To the right you can see the landing lights on the flare path to the runway at Leeds Bradford Airport. The sheep don’t even flinch when the planes come over. For some reason they were nervous of me though, and I’m not even Welsh. Best viewed as large as possible. The detail on the horizon is great, even if it is only power stations and high rise flats etc.
There one minute gone the next.
