It’s been so long since I posted on the Bubble, I could be in a meeting introducing myself: “Hi, I’m Andy Mueller and I have not been on the Bubble in 6 days”. The other folks in the room clap their hands in amazement ….6 days? Wow …... So, let me dive right back in with yet another Duck image, dedicated to Mr. Bermingham! Yes indeed, I’m back my friend …... Some may think that these are Geese, but I truly believe them to be Farm Ducks or Pekin Ducks. My art with 1000+ views

European Otter (lutra lutra) on a frozen pond – 30-Dec-08. Brrrrr…. cold tummy! Wishing you all a Happy Snappy New Year! ;o) Canon 50D with Canon EF 400mm L f/5.6
Took this shot of a juvenile Pacific Gull (Larus pacificus) at Red Bluff last week on a family holiday at Lake Tyers. Another shot that demonstrates the liberating power of my new 5DmkII as this sort of pic was difficult and expensive (on motor drive) for me to take with my old landscape optimized Velvia50 film set up. Camera: Canon EOS 5D mkII / Lens: EF 100-300 f/4.5-5.6 USM @ 300mm / Filter: UV / ISO: 200? / Shutter Speed: 1/250thsec / Aperture: f/13 / WB: Auto / Post production: jpeg, straightened, cropped and levels in Microsoft Office Picture Manager (yuk, I’ll redo it properly next week from the RAW in PS) Check out my Birds gallery for more avian delights. For other shots from this area check out my Gippsland gallery. 10% of all profits go to the Wilderness Society
Another shot from my recent family holiday to Lake Tyers with my new 5DmkII. The light was amazing and now that I’m shooting digital I was experimenting more with filters and bracketing with my fav being this stop under with a full length 3 stop neutral density graduated filter. Now that I’ve shot a few frames to be honest I’m not seeing digital as a step up colour wise compared to my old Velvia shots with these sort of sunset shots (outside of the orange sunset it seems a bit colourless and grey too me). For waterfall, low light and wildlife it leaves Velvia for dead but I think Velvia will still have a place in my arsenal in certain situations. Camera: Canon EOS 5D mkII / Lens: EF 24-70 f/2.8 USM @ 27mm / Filter: Cokin 121F, 3 stop full length neutral density graduated filter / ISO: 100 / Shutter Speed: 1.3sec / Aperture: f/22 / WB: Auto / Exposure Compensation: -1 stop / Post production: none For other shots from this area check out my Gippsland gallery. 10% of all profits go to the Wilderness Society

Inspired by the wildlife at nearby Hagerman Wildlife Refuge on beautiful Lake Texoma in Texas. This work has been FEATURED in the “I Love Birds” group AND in the Digital Artists United group and most recently in the “Color Me Vibrant RED” group! :)
This Bull Elk calmly strolled through the water at the shoreline of Lake Estes early this morning. Even though a man got ‘in his face’, moving toward him within 10 feet, he continued to walk without any signs of agitation…a wonderful reminder for me to take every step of my day in peace…. Estes Park, Colorado
Digital art inspired by my love of red hues, especially in the fall, and by the wildlife that lives around me. This art work has been FEATURED in the “Southern Style, A Downhome Perspective” group AND in the “I Love Birds” group! :)
Lake Martin, at Cypress Island, Louisiana, is a refuge for many water birds, including the great white egret and the great blue heron pictured here, along with moss-draped cypress trees from which the place gets its name.
As the sun peeked over the mountain at Lake Estes this morning, two big Bull Elk were sparring on the shore, feeling their oats and having a go at cracking their antlers together, just for fun. They really seemed to be more playing than actually sparring. The sound of those antlers is incredible and the sight of them together like that at first light was a blessed beginning for my day today… Estes Park, Colorado.
yay.. another day i love mornings.. they remind me of cockadoodle doo and breakfast.. and children going to school.. and the deer panting.. and cows mooing.. / took a walk along the lake at the Babcock Wildlife Management area . / Charlotte county, Florida
