I can still remember my very first camera that my parents had given to me when I was about 8 years old. I took that camera everywhere and snapped shots of anything and everything, however it wasn’t until much later in life that I was really bitten by the photography bug. I was planning a big move to the Canadian Rockies and thought now is the perfect time to buy my new camera gear for shooting wildlife. I bought all the equipment I needed that would put me up close with all the wildlife that the mountains had to offer. So off I went chasing Bears, Bighorn sheep, Moose, Elk and Wolves… pretty much any critter I could capture with my lens. It was a fascinating and thrilling experience. Then fate brought to me a girl and she would change my life forever… Newfoundland is where I now call home, with my beautiful wife and baby son. This province is a photographer’s paradise. The scenes change from day to day and the opportunities for capturing them are endless. With my camera in tow I now begin my journey through Newfoundland, photographing and capturing her raw and rugged beauty to share with the world. I hope you enjoy the photographs presented here. I believe that the flowers in this picture are called Sawooth Sunflowers but im not sure. Ive had trouble identifying them. ThistleMania Please view in large format Another shot of some of the incredible Thistles that grow in the wild here in Northern CA…These were shot on 07/27/08 at Lake Nora about a 45 minute ride East of Redding CA. This was edited in PhotoImpact to reach the final stage…I hope you enjoy this image and see it as I do………as some of the bountiful and simple pleasures of the glorious nature that surrounds us. From one of my hikes through the inland forest of the Indiana Dunes National Lake Shore. I came across a splash of some pretty Lupine’s growing in a field of green. Lupine’s are a native wild flower that grow in the Indiana Dunes National Lake Shore. From 2007 Indiana Dunes National Lake Shore, Northwest Indiana. Nikon D80 18-135mm lens used. “She’s a child of the wild blue yonder / Flying out of here…” / -John Hiatt/”Child Of The Wild Blue Yonder” Nikon D70/Nikon 75-300mm zoom. I went to an air show today at Greenwood Lake Airport. There were several world-class acrobatic pilots flying… or should I call them magicians? I’m still not sure I actually saw some of the amazing things these guys can do up in the sky.
