Soul Swans
by cleo01This pair of swans were being kept in a rather dirty lake in an animal sanctuary. Despite this, I felt these swans were full of grace, pride and beauty.

This is one of a series entitled, “Colors in Motion.” “Colors in motion” is a series of similarly stylized ballet dancers. I have an extensive background as a dancer and I take pride in my knowledge of illustrating a dancer with proper form and positioning. These are all done with Primacolor colored pencils. Originals are not available, but prints can be ordered in several forms. Available are notecards, postcards, small/medium matted prints (sold together or individually), fridge magnets, notepads, mugs, t-shirts and more!! We imagined it would be a difficult task. / We felt so blessed when we got to the pond! They seemed to show off for us for over an hour. This photo was taken a Lake Monger in Werstern Australia. Someone once told me swans mate for life, which I think makes Swans a romantic kind of bird? :) The Swan is also the state symbol of Western Australia.
