Soft and dangerous, lovely little isolated thunderstorm with a still full lake Burrembeet in the foreground.

This shot was taken at the Broadmoor resort in Colorado Springs, CO. The most amazing electrical storm came through. It was quite a ways in the distance. The cloud coverage was interesting which sat low over our heads. Lightning flashed about every three seconds. It was truly spectacular. It never rained where I was standing. Noise Reduction software applied due to the high ISO setting. I put the camera on a tripod and kept clicking. The pool house was in the foreground and Cheyenne Mountain in the background.

Parched by disappointment time and time again… / Without hope life is but a severe drought, / That seems to have no end. Like clouds looming on the horizon withholding their rain… / So too, unless we let go of our past, / We can never be healed from all our pain. Apart from God we are as trees without water, / Destined too whither and die… / For God is the source of our eternal hope, / Through whom all life is meant to thrive! The wind was blowing so hard as the storm approached. My wife was feeding the seagulls and they were just hovering over us. Made for some really neat shots with the Great Salt Lake and the storm in the background.
