Tenders at rest in the pale pre dawn glow. One of subjects I love to shoot most at Queenscliff, finally after many trips and years I feel like I got ‘it’ this time.
Sunrise on Lake Albert, Meningie, South Australia. Splendor of Dawn was taken 45 mins later on the same morning.
Sunrise on Lake Albert, Meningie, South Australia. Taken 45 mins after Majestic Morning – the most spectacular sunrise I have ever witnessed.

Sunset over Macgregor Point Provincial Park Taken with a Nikon D50 + 18-70mm Nikon, Remote fired , No tripod, rested camera on a rock in hopes that it didnt fall into the water.. .

Taken near Holland, Michigan in October 2007. The winds were very strong that day. Very hard to shoot pictures with all the sand blowing around. I loved it though. :) Thanks, Brion.
Sunset from Northern Illinois…really real!!! no editing!!! 2006
Sunset Lake
Well, it’s not a final goodbye. When I shot this, a strong northern front was rolling over my head (the one you see in the photo) and discharging tiny specks of snow. But at least the ice is breaking and spring is in reach. Happy Easter (if you celebrate that kind of thing).
good colour still about, starting to rain.

Inspired by living on the largest lake in Texas, Lake Texoma, for over 15 years. So much of my art and writing comes from this place. Here’s my 5/7/5 HAIKU that also inspired this work: a pelican gulps / a sand dollar in the tide; / then looks for fat fish This work has been FEATURED in the “Shoot The Moon” group AND in the “Digital Artists United” group! :) Here’s how it looks matted and framed: / Examples of 2 of my other art works: /
Took the boys to the park this avo and stopped by the Lake on the way home. I set up the camera with my ND400 filter to get some long exposures – that way I could keep an eye on the boys whilst the camera did it’s thing.
It’s been an epic journey to get this on to redbubble! I mean how hard can it be to take a photo… well… first there’s suitable light, then there’s the question of getting the colours to look like the actual painting….. So… it’s not perfect, but it’s pretty close now… but… then there’s actually uploading it! I’ve been trying all afternoon… so if it works this time I’m having a celebratory glass of wine… lol!!! Anyway, this is a painting taken from a photo taken around the same time as “two little girls… tuross lakes”. When we camped there that Easter there was a lot of rain and storms… pretty much every afternoon. So this is just another one of them… For those who are interested… Tuross Lakes is situated on the South Coast of NSW. Just realised that I haven’t put in the technical info… so here it is for those interested… Oil on canvas / 61cm x 91cm Plus I’d like to thank you for viewing as the thumbnail doesn’t really show it very well… : )) Featured in the Landscape Painting group
