Taken at Anderson Ranch Reservoir, although the sun was not where it seems to be, this really was an illusion. I had to get out and catch this shot. I love this lake and this place. When we lived here my camera was with me at all times, even when I went down for groceries, you never knew what you might see on the way down or back up. I love it here and it will always be home for me in my heart. Exposure time 1/160 sec., / F-Stop F/4.0, Aperture Value F/2.0, ISO 64.0. Canon EOS, Rebel XT, Lens 18-55 mm.

  • Panorama of 14 images and around 300 degrees fov….Taken from near Hansons Peak ~ Cradle Mountain N.P. ~ Tasmania ~ Aus. / A beautiful scene surrounded by the Autumnal tones of the Fagus. Taken late in the day when the cloud layer lifted and around the same time as a couple of single shots of this place I uploaded a short time ago. As always, I lugged my heavy pano head everywhere I went trekking. Often questioning whether it was worth it as it weighs down your pack considerably..I thought if there was any a time to use it, this was it..! clambering up over rocks to this vantage spot and fired off a few pans. Finally trekking back off the mountain in the dark but very happy with the days efforts….thanks for having a look and any comments…cheers, Rob. / ps, and yes, I’m getting towards the end of my Tas collection…finally..!! Still a few pans to work on from the Tasman though..

  • Ya, thought the title pretty much summed it up! Captured a couple night ago as the sun was sinking low out at Reunion Lake on the eastern plains of Colorado. The colors were just stunning, I was pretty awe struck, it yielded quite a few really nice shots! Let me know what ya think! / —-John

  • A Conversation With the Clouds Captured at an elevation of 11,990 ft (3,655 m), standing atop Loveland Pass is like being able to touch heaven and the clouds. When I captured this, the slight hint of the scent of snow was in the air, and conditions up here can change literally by the second. It is right along the Continental Divide, and the views from up here are simply paradise! Processed in HDR and captured on my Minolta 5D using a Minolta 18-200 DT Lens and a Hoya Polarizer http://www.redbubble.com/products/configure/5778657

  • Part of my Egret Series. This is a compilation. The sunset was taken on 09-27-08 in Arizona. The egret was blended into the image along with the water (flood plugin) and the rock was created using the pen tool and shading. Fractalius was applied to both images prior to blending. As you contemplate your day’s end, is all well with your soul? / / Hope you like! Add me to your watch list now / My Bubblesite

  • To catch the sun rising over the mountain requires a 3AM wakeup call 2 hour drive and a short 1 mile hike to waters edge. In my book worth it! Dawn illuminates the cloud-capped peak of Mt. Rainier as it reflects in the the still waters of Bench Lake

  • The majestic Mt. Rainier capped with a small cloud as the first light of a new day illuminates the peak and reflects in the still waters of Bench LAke

  • A Fiery Dawn A Late Autumn Sunrise captured at Lake Estes in Estes Park, Colorado. It was to die for, to say the least….just the distant sound of the Elk bugling is about all you heard. • Antelope island is the largest of the Great Salt Lake’s 10 islands. From the mainland, its 28,022 acres appear barren and deserted. But Antelope Island is home to a variety of flora and fauna native to the Great Basin region. This is a great place to view wildlife. The island was without its namesake antelope for many years, but they were reintroduced in 1993 and can now be seen in many areas of the park. Deer, bobcats, coyotes, many varieties of birds and waterfowl also call the island home. But most famous are Antelope Island’s American Bison, introduced to the island in 1893 and now numbering some 600 animals

  • Watercolour done on Saunders Waterford 140 LB rough of a lake in Hailsham east Sussex, nr Eastbourne

  • A visit to Moraine Lake, Banff National Park, Canada in early June afforded me a chance to capture this 2 image composite. Just a couple weeks prior, the lake was still frozen solid.

  • I happened to be out taking pics of my son when the caonoers(is that a word) called it quits and parked their canoes and hid in their cars until the storm passed. I took the photo about 10 minutes before all hell broke loose.
