Captured high above Cherry Creek Reservoir outside of Denver Colorado, cosidering how cold it was, the warmth of the colors from the sunrise kept me a little on the warm side! The Marina lies empty below, awaiting Spring to return, which isn’t to far off I suppose. Anyways, I kinda lucked out on this shot considering I was standing on a 2 lane road with no pull off’s….thank goodness for no traffic! / —-John

An orange under-painting of trees in bog. this was an expansion of a tiny picture i found i a national geographic. I really just want to be there climbing trees and swiming with friends. so i panted it bigger with more texture to make it feel more real.

i took this shot at my daughters pond. / Fort Myers, Florida infrared.. then enhanced the colored and then black and white again.. at least that what I think.. its harmony of editing ?.

I was at a local New Forest pond and had a 400mm lens on. I tried to photograph the local bird-life and wandered around the other side of the pond. I sat there for a while just watching the life going on around the water waiting for a photo opportunity. It was very near sundown and several New Forest ponies came down the steep sides of the pond to drink. I was thinking of changing lenses for a shorter one, but I felt I’d lose the chance to photograph them when the low light was so colourful. It was a beautiful scene but didn’t last long. At least I managed to make some shots. The New Forest National Park is in Southern England and has habitats as varied as heathland plains, coniferous and deciduous woodland, bogs and marshes.
