HOPE is like a light house! When you are lost in the darkness of ignorance, it makes you see the path ahead. Spread this light of hope to find a way to eternity. Getting out of Water lilies. This time presenting sunset reflections of largest lake in Bhopal city, in India. I was here in Bhopal for some personal work on the evening I was on outing besides the lake. Just found this wonderful capture. Reprocessed in CS3 ( 04.05.2009 ) Equipment : Canon EOS 400D
A Morning Stroll At the Lake Every now and then we almost miss a shot, and luckily this time I happened to turn around as I was walking back to my car from shooting the sunrise and had this scene greet me. Captured at Cherry Creek State Park outside of Denver, Colorado, the light seemed to almost dance among the trees. Processed in HDR
Sunsets at Menindee Lakes can be awesome. / (803 views) / Giclee Reproductions are available: visit www.suehodge.com.au / For more prints by Sue Hodge visit: http://ochresands.redbubble.com The following is from the NSW Tourism website: / http://www.visitnsw.com/town/Menindee/Menindee_Lake_System/info.aspx The Menindee Lakes System begins on the Darling River about 200 kilometres upstream from the junction of the Darling and Murray rivers at Wentworth. There are four main lakes, Lake Menindee, Lake Cawndilla, Lake Pamamaroo, and Lake Wetherell created from a series of natural depressions that filled during floods. The Menindee Lakes and Darling River were a lifeline for early explorers and it was thought the Darling would provide a means to develop Australia’s interior. The flows of the river proved to be unreliable causing difficulties with navigation and water supply and the idea of using the Menindee Lakes for water conservation was born in the late 1890s. Today the lakes and dams create a welcome water haven in the arid Outback landscape as well as a bird-watchers paradise where bird watching tours are highly recommended.
Part of my Egret Series. This is a compilation. The sunset was taken on 09-27-08 in Arizona. The egret was blended into the image along with the water (flood plugin) and the rock was created using the pen tool and shading. Fractalius was applied to both images prior to blending. As I was painting this abstract, I pondered the many meanings to the word “approach”...for example there is…. / The simple act of drawing near…. / A way, passage, or avenue by which a place or buildings can be approached; an access. / The temporal property of becoming nearer in time..e.g. “the approach of winter” / The final path followed by an aircraft as it is landing… / My painting is mainly concerned with the last two…I wanted to evoke both meanings of the word…it is the final curtain of autumn and winter is fast approaching..pockets of red and orange gleam here and there, as autumn stubbornly defies the chill, but at night the icy fingers of winter touches everything with frost..in the countryside snow drifts casually down, as if refusing to admit it’s here for good…another look at the painting evokes the final approach to land…stars twinkle in the night sky, the land shows the last vestiges of fall and the approach of winter….we are excited, relieved to have made it home safely once more... Watercolour on Aquaboard The half-stripped trees / struck by a wind together, / bending all, / the leaves flutter drily / and refuse to let go / or driven like hail / stream bitterly out to one side / and fall / where the salvias, hard carmine— / like no leaf that ever was— / edge the bare garden.
