  • so what happened was this – my flatmate found a 1950s hanimex holiday 35 that belonged to his grandfather and had a broken aperture ring and a mouldy lens and gave it to me. i stuck some expired 400iso kodak film in it, shot a reel, then, just to raise the stakes higher, had it cross processed c41 to e6 which isn’t the best way round to go. and guess what? all the pictures are crap.

  • ...You know the story…:)

  • Old railway tanker, captured in the early morning.

  • This is one of the main temples in Vang Vien, Laos. The temple buildings are beautifully ornate and the surrounding garden is peaceful. On this day however, a number of the monks were busy conducting repairs on the building and, the younger ones especially, were scouting in and out of the windows and up and down the ladder as part of their work. They held a group of us captivated, cameras in hand, with their cheeky expression and playful teasing. I loved the strong contrast of the orange robe against the pink building – I think the colours capture the playfulness of the atmosphere even more than the monk’s expression in this case.

  • Denmark, SC. USA. OM-3. Ilford Delta 100.

  • This girl has climbed all this way to get the exact flower she wants. Originally an illustration done in ink.

  • Angers, france

  • The little jetty, trees and shoreline, just below the Charlemont homestead are all mirrored in the waters of Thompsons Creek, in the stillness of the morning, just after dawn.

  • And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

  • Mixed Media & Digital Illustration. When you hold yourself hostage, be it in a physical or mental nature, you may be depriving yourself of something potentially beautiful, holding back from the truth trying to cage away the bits you don’t like and revealing only what you think others will approve of. Also available as a T-Shirt / (c) REO 2008

  • The image has been created as an alternative to the popular and greatly exaggerated theory of global warming and its consequences. Since global warming activists predict a dramatic change of the planet’s surface in the nearest future, the Ice Age Premonition portrays our society in the new Ice Age. / Ice Age – A cold period marked by episodes of extensive glaciations alternating with episodes of relative warmth. Any geologic period during which thick ice sheets cover vast areas of land. Such periods of large-scale glaciations may last several million years and drastically reshape surface features of entire continents. A number of major ice ages have occurred throughout the Earth’s history; the most recent periods were during the Pleistocene Epoch. There have been at least four major ice ages in the Earth’s past. The last glacial period ended about ten thousand years ago. / Surrealism art prints / Digital art prints / Fantasy digital art wallpapers

  • Inspired by Martin Puryear’s “Ladder for Booker T. Washington” Please vote / http://www.redbubble.com/people/toastedghost/journal/3339650-would-you-like-to-vote How far do you climb? / At what cost? / Do you fear the assent? / or descent? / Do you climb at all? / What prevents you from climbing? / or climbing further? Many will notice that the falling figure is not me / I wanted the work to remain generic / however it is my mouth

  • Young woman reaching for the full moon.

  • Another image from my ‘green room’ series, shot at ABM. This time I elected to concentrate on light and composition instead of colour. It would have been so easy to crank up the red on the ‘Ladder Safety’ poster… but I like the darker B&W mood here rather more. At full magnification it is still possible to read every word of the ‘Ode to Roger’ pinned on the noticeboard.

  • / Come with me / I know the way” she says / “It’s down, down, down the dark ladder / Do you want to contact somebody first / I mean what does it really matter / You’re going to come now / Or you’re going to come later Joni Mitchell Cold Blue Steel And Sweet Fire Photo taken at Doubtful Sound, South island in New Zealand. Doubtful Sound is the second largest of the 14 fiords in Fiordland National Park. Same shoot: /

  • No idea where I took this!...again, another find while having a sort out…Just liked the fact that the ladder and the lamp both look discarded!
