Woofydog – the fat dingo love of my life in action! WhenI was up north in Western Australia I was feeling very alone. I decided to get a dog. I rang up the pound and asked if they could ring me if they found something like a labrador. They rang and said… “Yeh we have this labrador cross and it comes with a free cat!” I went and saw the lady who had this dog and through the door bounded this beautiful dingo/labrador cross and it was instant love. I took her home this night and have never left her side since (I took the cat as well!). She is my constant companion, my best friend and my precious angel. Pre-loved dogs are fabulous. I got her when she was four. Puppies are great, but giving a loving home to a dog that has no where to go makes the world a better place!
“The Guardian, A Portrait Of A Black Lab” is a signed, original, pastel and prismacolor pencil drawing. “Custom Pet Portraits”is another area of my art work that I always return to and over the years I have helped preserve many a memorie for my buyers of the “Best Friends” that are still living or have passed over the rainbow bridge. This fellow was actually rescued by a friend and a copy of the portrait was donated to the shelter. As with all of my artwork , my initials are on the front with full signature, title and date on back. / Thank you for viewing my art. VIEW susan’sgallery / VIEW susan’szazzle /

A silhouette of Sienna watching chippy through our glass patio door. A typical weekend morning at my back door. Our poor chocolate lab Sienna sits and watches the chipmunks and squirrels stealing nuts. I don’t know if Sienna loves weekends or if it’s torture! Taken 8/31/08 at my back door, Clarks Valley, PA

This fawn appeared to be abandoned or orphaned and was quite tame . This is my daughter’s lab and the fawn came over and kissed her on the nose. / Thought it was unusual for a wild animal to be so tame.

Highly detailed but enjoyable piece to produce. I was originally going to call this Incognito, as a reaction to always being encouraged or commissioned to make the subject matter stand out – but they looked so at ease and comfortable in their chosen setting that I decided to emphasise that aspect instead. LIFE WITH A LAB Photos of our Chocolate Labrador Retriever, Sienna.
Several friends from around the world have graciously submitted to me favourite photos of their beloved pets for a special series of 2010 calendars. With their generous permission, I have cropped, enhanced and altered –quite extensively, in some cases—-the original images in Photoshop CS4 and Corel, using a variety of techniques. / With sincere thanks to all my friends, I am calling these the WWW (World Wide Whiskers) Calendars /
One of the most popular breeds in the USA, is the Labrador Retriever (also Labrador, or Lab for short). They are loyal, loving, affectionate and patient, making great family dogs. Hershey, the chocolate lab, is huge, but he has the sweetest friendliest personality one can think of. He loves everyone, and everyone loves him. Laminated Print /
