Statue of Kylie Minogue / Docklands – Melbourne Nikon D300, 18-200 lens
This image of Kylie was shot in natural bush with a gold reflector & caputed in RAW .Sharpness, vibrance, clarity,wb set in raw. 4 seperate exposures copied! 1 0EV with evaluative metering for a bright background. 1 set for skin tones, 1 set on clipping alarm for highlight on her dress & hair. 1 to recover highlights on the log all done in ACR. Each PSD copy selectively layered to bring out the best of each in CS3. Saturation, final contrast tweak. I then flatten the image and if required airbrush the model, final touch of unsharpen mask & a little bit of monochromatic noise to make it look more realistic. / Camera Canon 40D, f4 70-200 USM IS L lens, f11,AWB,evaluative metering,ISO 400
Kylie Ann Minogue, born 28 May 1968, is an Australian pop singer-songwriter and occasional actress.
How sweet it is, when mother Fancy rocks / The wayward brain, to saunter through a wood! / An old place, full of many a lovely brood, / Tall trees, green arbours, and ground flowers in flocks; / And wild rose tip-toe upon hawthorn stocks, / Like a bold Girl, who plays her agile pranks / When she stands cresting the Clown’s head, and mocks / The crowd beneath her. Verily I think, / Such place to me is sometimes like a dream / Or map of the whole world: thoughts, link by link / Enter though ears and eyesight, with such gleam / Of all things, that at last in fear I shrink, / And leap at once from the delicious stream. Sonnet By William Wordsworth This painting is dedicated to Kylie who is undergoing a back operation on Friday. Please remember her in your prayers and thoughts. Painted with My Spirit Guides – With Healing Thoughts And Love From The Sparrows. – Get well soon Kylie we are all thinking about you! Music – Ambient Part 2
I found this old pier while walking my dog and felt very guilty when I returned to photograph it without her! On the night the sunset was not so great so I’ve used my limited photoshop skills to make the sky look a little more even.
I took this photo on a recent trip to Newcastle. I didn’t intend on using this one but then I cross-processed it and liked the result. I must thank Bev Woodman, host of the Newcastle Group for sharing her ‘insider knowledge’ on where to go and what to do in Newcastle and Port Stephens. Most helpful indeed, thanks Bev. F 22 @ 1/30 sec / ISO 200 / Cross processed
I have this photo in many different shades of blue but I think this is my favourite. Although the sunsets weren’t so great, each night was different and the moon was making some amazing reflections on the water and was great to watch. F 3.5 @ 5 sec / ISO 200
The iconic ocean baths were officially opened in 1922 and known as the Griffith Ocean Baths. Admission was a penny per adult. They’ve survived a submarine attack, been battered by storms and were once hired for a private baptism. F 4 @ 20 sec / ISO 200
I aimed to photograph the ocean baths from a different perspective to what I had seen when I researched my trip. I wasn’t sure how this one would look but when printed I really liked it. This shot was taken on my first night at the ocean baths and although it was very windy and the clouds have quite a bit of movement in them, I really like the reflection of the moon in the water. Made getting a bit wind-blown worthwhile… F 4.5 @ 30 sec / ISO 200

A large adult eastern Water Dragon was found feeding on the walk between Manly Beach and Shelly Beach, NSW. Image is straight from the camera.
Sugargirl worked her magic on my image Stand up one and all and this is what she has turned it into. I recommend that you check out Sugargirl’s work as she really is a talented artist!
This is part of a series of photographs taken on a road trip from Canberra through to New South Wales. The remains of an old house and a graveyard along the Federal Highway. As with most of my photoshop skills I experimented by pushing different buttons to see what they’d do and I came up with this.

Kylie Minogue’s feet in red high heel shoes. Part of the Aussie Diva’s statue/sculpture located in the Waterfront Area of the Docklands in Melbourne, Victoria. / Texture layers added. / Camera – Nikon D90
After a recent trip to Melbourne and the Hosier Lane area I went walking in Adelaide this week looking for graffiti lane-way art. No where as good as Melbourne but found some nice little spots like this one off Hindley Street in Adelaide’s CBD. I understand from a nearby restaurant owner that the lane featured twice in a Kylie Minogue film shot in Adelaide. Can anyone help me with the name of the movie??????? Canon 400D 17-85 lens, three shot HDR converted in Photomatix.
Thich Nhat Hanh: / People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don’t even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child—our own two eyes. All is a miracle. This lil’ guy wasn’t very far from our ‘sneaky snake’ and minfully quite cautious while just hanging around…as is shot. Especially for You
Could watch these guys all day.
This is a collage of my daughter Kylie and my niece Tyler May they were just being silly but i love the photo so i decided to paint it and then i turned it into a collage for fun thought it had a 60’s look to it ...using corel painter artists brushes and a painting of tulips i also painted then added other elements for interest and also a texture…
