  • It was after dark in Melbourne, and the lights were being switched off at home. I was walking through the kitchen when I noticed that someone had left a miniature figure of Po, the Kung Fu Panda, on the island bench. There was only one light on, about ten metres away – so the shadow was not the sharpest but it was still sufficiently interesting for me to get my camera out. Po by himself was not a great shot, but when I moved back slightly and included the sharper image of the handle of a coffee mug, things got far more interesting! Shot without a tripod. I do not crop, enhance or edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F5.6, 0.5 sec, ISO 800, focal length 125mm. Featured in STATUES AND SUCH, June 2009.* (113-7027)
