Blue tree and shadow against yellow wall. ~Austin, Texas
Some of my fondest memories while living in India took place in the deserts of Rajasthan. / I spent more than one year in and out of the desert. Here is a photo taken by a boy whom I adored. His name was Chilly! He named himself and he was my guide. We met many families and stayed in many homes.. I would go find him after a stressful day when I was doing business in a small town outside of Jaipur and all I would have to do was look at him and he knew,, he would go get Krishna, my favorite camel and we would go out.. He would pack enough of what I liked to eat and sometimes we just stayed out for a few days. It is interesting who you run into in the desert. And some of my future writing will be filled with these stories..
Divine couple
The Radha-Krishna amour is a love legend of all times. It’s indeed hard to miss the many legends and paintings illustrating Krishna’s love affairs, of which the Radha-Krishna affair is the most memorable. Krishna’s relationship with Radha, his favorite among the ‘gopis’ (cow-herding maidens), has served as a model for male and female love in a variety of art forms, and since the sixteenth century appears prominently as a motif in North Indian paintings. Radha, daughter of Vrishabhanu, was the mistress of Krishna during that period of his life when he lived among the cowherds of Vrindavan. Since childhood they were close to each other – they played, they danced, they fought, they grew up together and wanted to be together forever, but the world pulled them apart. He departed to safeguard the virtues of truth, and she waited for him. He vanquished his enemies, became the king, and came to be worshipped as a lord of the universe. She waited for him. He married Rukmini and Satyabhama, raised a family, fought the great war of Ayodhya, and she still waited. So great was Radha’s love for Krishna that even today her name is uttered whenever Krishna is refered to, and Krishna worship is though to be incomplete without the deification of Radha.
Sri Radha is the eternal consort of Sri Krishna
Divinity is the essense of any art thats what i believe and its just due to these divine vibrations only i am able to imagine as well as visualize such dreamy expressions which my nails reflect on a special kind of paper. When i start any Nail painting i am totally blank what would my nails want from me today and as my nail start moving all this figures & shapes comes up finally making a complete art effect. This is a moment of sheer magical love potrayed between Lord Krishna & Radha gazing each other with intense purity spreading showers of romance & humanity. Coloured with divinity based wax powders sprinkled all over my artwork…hope you guys will enjoy as much i did while making it. / / / Shree..!!

Vishnu’s divine weapons.
Another of the flowers from my show and poems for her. We met as she was passing by with music in the air, two eye’s contacting as if by chance as she put flowers in my hair! The scent she wore was everywhere it mingled in the air and as she pranced to her little dance the magic was everywhere! I found a feeling so deep in me I never knew it was there for here I was in the market streets dancing without a care! And oh my goodness I couldn’t believe… it was me having so much fun! And as the music was pounding deep, deep down in my soul, I asked myself what magical treats these flowers must behold. So as I danced and my crazy feet moved so lightly on the market square what could these flowers have to do with me being so crazy and so bold? As she twirled in the summers light as the sunlight danced in her hair, I took her by her perfumed hand and she said to me “can you feel the drummers beat and the magic in the air?” And I nodded to her afraid to speak not knowing what to say! And as we danced to that crazy drummers beat in the Market Place that day I was closing my eyes and wishing my life could always be this way! Oh my what I felt as that sweet music beat me in to a frenzy. I laughed I cried out loud my God what had gotten in to me to make me feel this strange way! And as I looked down on this little girls face as we danced in the Market that day all my fears and questions just started to melt and drift away! And then the music was gone just like that and there I stood all alone. And as I stood there in that magical spot I felt such a wonderful feeling I looked all around and not a soul to be found except a small flower as my reminder. And as I walked home with my mind in a tizzy I wondered what this was that happened ? I knew something good had entered my heart but to this my mind still remained in the dark! I wanted to know as I sat by myself as the moon shined down in my room what in the world had happen that day to make me feel happy and brand new? I wondered what in the whole wide world had that little girl done to me / I asked myself this from week to week as I went back to being me. Then bright one morning I found myself walking down narrow little streets hoping to find that feeling I lost and finding that drummers beat! And after I decided I had enough for the day as I finally turned the last corner! After I thought I had run out of luck and this day offered no hope for me! / But there on the corner much to my surprise was that magical Krishna girl!
