  • Did you ever see such a grumpy face??? Taken at the Rainforest Habitat in Port Douglas, far north Queensland, must be a male kookaburra!

I was taken by this cute fellow sitting on the taps, Looking into the distant storms approaching, welcoming some rain. I painted this in two sittings, after finishing the background with wet on wet, I finished the kookaburra in a more refined wet on dry .

White Christmas Christmas Eve we were all aglow / with the heat of the sun there was no snow. / At the end of the day Santa would be on his way / with toys and gifts piled in his sleigh! / I wish he could give us a snow surprise / As we turned out the lights we peeked outside. / To our delight a winter wonderland we saw, / a White Chistmas we will have who could ask for more!
