A steel tread in a doorway, originally knobbed for traction but now worn completely smooth by the many feet that have stepped through the door.

Funny how you overlook some odd little things. I’ve seen seagulls all my life, but never really noticed what knobby knees they have. Or how skimpy their legs look in relation to their bodies. Anyway, I like to take pictures of seagulls, so here is one, on the edge of Clover Point in south-end Victoria, on Vancouver Island,British Columbia. / Sony DSCF828 camera.
