“Beneath our radiant Southern Cross, / We’ll race our bkes ‘round bends / To make our two wheeled riders renowned of all the lands.“ / If only the second verse of Advance Australia Fair started off like that.
Anyone who has ever ridden or been a pillion a modern sports bike will know that the real fun starts when you hit the corners. But when you’re able to get a lean angle of 45 degrees around a corner, that is when you’re really living! That’s why “Life Begins at 45 Degrees”! Our tribute to Daijiro Kato & Norifumi Abe. / We’ve always admired the Japanese riders. They really give it everything. Norifumi even inspired the great Valentino Rossi to adopt the nickname “Rossifumi”. / Just as those guys flying around in their Mitsubishi Zero’s did in 1941, todays ‘pilot’ needs to be just as fearless. / BANZAI!
Anyone who has ever ridden or been a pillion a modern sports bike will know that the real fun starts when you hit the corners. But when you’re able to get a lean angle of 45 degrees around a corner, that is when you’re really living! That’s why “Life Begins at 45 Degrees”! Inspired by the angry British fighters of WWII. / Fast forward 55 years and Triumph Motorcycles release the angriest, rawist, most brutal weapon to grace the tarmac on two wheels. No need for a fairing, this bad boy will fly into battle and leave everyone else scratching their heads instead of their knees! / As Triumph put it themselves “It’s a vicious cycle”

But when you’re able to get a lean angle of 45 degrees around a corner, that is when you’re really living! That’s why “Life Begins at 45 Degrees”! One for the Yanks / Lets hear it for Erik Buell. An American genius who managed to create a motorcycle that corners like a house fly! / Yes… that is a Triumph Speed Triple in the image but we can’t go changing our logo for every country now can we?
Even Jesus said JESUS when he saw me ride… / You can just see it now, Jesus and his 12 best mates hanging out at Losail MotoGP track in Qatar, suddenly out of nowhere, you come flying around turn 16 and down the main straight. As you pass the start/finish line on one wheel doing well over 200mph you hear it “Jesus!” / Doesn’t it sound just awesome!

But when you’re able to get a lean angle of 45 degrees around a corner, that is when you’re really living! That’s why “Life Begins at 45 Degrees”! Horray for Muscle Bikes! / Real riders don’t need to go and buy the latest fully faired two-wheeled crotch rocket. Who really cares how fast you can go in a straight line?! Unless you can, or even have dreams of, being able to corner like Casey, you’re just another attention seeker. Knee Draggers

This shot was taken for me using my mobile phone. We were in the Michelin Corporate Marquee at turn 4 (Honda) at Phillip Island GP circuit and my friends managed to sneak me in! / This is the only way to watch Casey Stoner win on home turf. / I wonder what all the poor people were doing?
This is the track at Broadford motorcycle complex in Victoria, Australia. At just under 3km in length, it is a fast, heavy braking track and is Australia’s only exclusive motorcycle circuit. The undulating nature of the circuit provides riders with a great day to test what you and your bike are made of!! / This shot was taken by my then girlfriend and now wife at turn 2, which is a sweeping uphill righthand hairpin. / After about 50 laps of the track I began to nail this turn and every other. I picked my reference points in and out of corners, and I began to cut down my lap times. / I emptied a full tank of fuel and then some, which equated to about 200kms of hard riding around the circuit. Then I rode home. / The next time I did a track day the bike travelled on a trailer. / I will never ride to a track day again.
This shot was taken from Siberia (turn 6) at Phillip Island GP circuit in 2005.

A certain soft drink manufacturer once advertised that “You can’t beat the real thing” and that “(enter soft drink name here) is it” We at Knee Draggers believe that what we like to do best, cornering, is the real thing & anyone who can get their knee down whilst going around a corner is “IT”! We don’t subscribe to the notion that drinking one beverage instead of another will increase your social standing among your peers nor will it assist you in attracting members of the opposite sex. / However, wearing a t-shirt that tells the world who you are and what you love to do is sure to get everyone talking. Coke? Nah, we don’t do that shit, we get our buzz from riding motorcycles the way they are built to be ridden. So, Enjoy Knee Draggers. Everyone else is!
