Part of a collection of inner City Sydney moments: ‘Blink and You’ll Miss It’ - This image was recently used by DannyNolan in his journal entry EPIC / It’s a great read so check it out. / - Although this might look like a feral inner city cat, he was simply yawning after dozing on the first sunny and dry day in Sydney in what seemed like weeks. Thanks to MBartworks for the title.
In my search for Sydney letterboxes ,) I come across moments and opportunities. So, I am beginning a collection of some of these inner City Sydney moments – ‘Blink and You’ll Miss It’ Back streets of Newtown.
This bag was left behind at a bus stop. Child abduction came to mind, so I waited for the right sets of feet in the right spot. The high contrast emphasises crime and intense colour reflects childhood. Newtown, Sydney.

This shot was taken through a frosted glass window from a street in Stanmore, Sydney. The light was just right on the best sunny winter day so far this year. I decided to leave the spots of dirt, paint and splotches – makes for a more rustic look too, which I like.

Therefore, in protest, I’m going streaking! I’ll put my clothes back on when the economy picks up again, when gas prices go back down to where I can still get change if I give the attendant $20, when Honda makes that zero-emission water vapor car affordable and available to the public, when violence in the Middle East stops (or heck, at least LESSENS a bit), when an airplane ticket doesn’t cost so much, when real Muslims actually stand up and DO/SAY something about those suicidal, violent assholes that act like they represent the true face of Islam, when Christians actually start acting more like Jesus and less like the Pharisees who crucified Him, when people in California actually learn how to F^&$ing drive on the freeway, when they put REAL MUSIC back on MTV and VH1 instead of all those dumb reality shows, when ALL those so-called “reality” TV shows get canceled, when people are less obsessed with the lives of celebrities and more focused on issues that matter, and when the stupid military junta in Myanmar can finally tell the difference between a helping hand and a death threat! *image inspired by the work of Robert Knapman and Oran
