I guess ferocious kittens need an Oobie every now and then Kitten cuddles a toy cow. Hubby gave him the toy cow, and kitten actually dragged it close and hugged it to himself. Hubby tucked the blanket around him. Winner in the ‘Gives Us A Hug’ Challenge Cafe Contest Thanks to those who voted on it!

Vincent’s Cat Recently I’ve been looking at Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings. I love his irises and wanted to paint some myself. Their complicated forms and brilliant deep blues captivated me. As some of you may know I have a fondness for cats. During my life I have had two exceptional ginger cats ‘Victor’ and ‘Mittens’ who were very dear to me; this is dedicated to their memory. Acrylic on canvas / Size: 30cm x 30cm Original SOLD
I am enjoying painting cats at the moment, here is another tabby with his favourite friend…his catnip mouse. They are such fun to paint. / I have a few more ideas for some cat paintings over the next couple of weeks. Acrylic on canvas / Size: 300mm x 300mm
This is our Frankie. He passed on a few weeks ago. He was only 10 years old. It’s always very sad to lose young ones. I painted this imagining he is now in heaven filled with beautiful stars.
Illustration of a ginger tabby cat curled up cosily in a coffee or tea cup. Distinctly imaginative and perfect for lovers of all things feline, or related to coffee or tea cups!
My kitty, Aurora after a “whirlwind” play session of about 10 minutes NONSTOP….completely exhusted laying on the hallway floor! This was such a CUTE picture…I just had to grab my camera, and hope she didn’t move when she saw me! Aurora is a rescued kitty. She use to live in a garage of a very kind animal lover who kept feeding her and sheltering her until she could find a good home…Thank you, Mary for taking care of her before I took her home! / ____ Featured in Clubs: / Hall of Fame for Animal Artists – Nov. 2009 / Dogs and Cats / Playful Photographic Pets / Tabby Time – 3 per day Wins in the following Groups & Challenges: / Cats & Dogs (1 per day) – “Happy Anniversary Cats & Dogs Members!” – Top 10 (#6) – Nov. 2009 / Playful Photogenic Animals – “Featured #1” – Top 10 (#9) Oct. 2009 / Domestic and Pedigree Cats – “Your Favorite” – Top 10 (#4) Oct. 2009 / Domestic and Pedigree Cats – “Cats with Natural Blue Eyes” – Challenge Winner (#1) Sept 2009 / Cats and Dogs (1 artwork per day) – “Tabby Cats” – Top 10 (#2) Aug. 2009 / Paws and Claws (3 per day) – 3 or more Features, Dogs and Cats only!!!!!! – Top 10 (#7) July 2009 / Playful Photogenic Pets – Indoor Pets – Top 10 (#4) June 2009 / Paws and Claws (3 per day) – “Rescued and Adopted Cats” – Top 10 (#4) June 2009 / Eye Contact – “Cats Eye” – Top 10 (#4) June 2009 / Paws n Claws – 2 or more Features, “Cats and Dogs only!” – Top 10 (#4) / Cats and Dogs(1 per day) – “Exhusted Cats” – Top 10 (#9) / The Woman Photographer – “Your Pet” – Top 10 (#8) / The Woman Photographer – “Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty” – Top 10 (#3) / Cats and Dogs (1 per day) – “Cats & Dogs – Your Favorite” – Top 10 (#6) / The Beginner’s Corner – Favorite Pet Challenge” – Top 10 (#1) / Domestic and Pedigree Cats – June Avater _ Top 10 (#1) / All Pets Great and Small – “Cats Only (Main Focus) – Top 10 (#1)
3,586 Views ~ Wow!!! Thank you so much for loving my little Sassy. Sassy as a baby, she is now 1-1/2 years old. I took Sassy in after I noticed she couldn’t find her mother to nurse. She had trouble focusing her eyes and still does. Her mother was a ferrel cat that had adopted my front porch and she is a great addition to my family of cats. She purrs with a little “squeek”, the one that means I am so very content! LOL When she does that it makes my heart smile. Size: 8×10 inches / Medium: Acrylic / Support: Ampersand Gessobord This is Hana (means “flowers” in Japanese). She passed on in January 2009. About 8 years ago, she started to show up in our backyard and spent all day sleeping in one of my flower pots. Every time we brought food to her, she hissed and tried to bite. One day, we brought her indoor and she immediately turned into a very friendly cat. She had never hissed at us after that. We concluded that what Hana really wanted was a home. Although she never liked other cats much, she loved human contact. We don’t know her age. Her vet thinks she was an old cat when she passed.
ACEO / miniature art of a beautiful Tabby called Neska, with amber eyes, done with coloured pencils and ink on drafting film. Neska’s eyes are actually green in colour but I wanted to add to my series of artwork featuring cat’s eyes ( Emerald Eyes, Sapphire Eyes and Turquoise Eyes). There is such diversity in the colours that cat’s eyes come in and I never tire of admiring the beauty of their eyes. Reference photo for this artwork was taken by Ainhoa Pcb http://www.flickr.com/photos/ainhoap/455734885/ and was used with her kind permission.
