Modern Times. The Homeless demographic has changed substantially.
Can you believe that such a collection ever existed in one place? Note the brussel sprouts and the carrot. A recent forum required personal pictures of old and what was found in the shoe boxes of photos? Pictures Soxy took with her OM1 way back whenever. Can’t find the negatives but the old prints scanned up well and even with the dust and scratches (heck some people ADD them on purpose in photoshop) they are worth a look. The tripod was an oldie but a goodie (it seems more difficult to do this sort of thing on the modern one) and some of those pink sheets are still around.

Smoke photography is really addictive! I can’t get bored of endless forms and shapes it can take. / I saw a pic on the net that inspired this shot unfortunately I don’t have the link to give due credits. Although I’ve decided to publish this version I’m unsure if it would have been better in colors. Maybe I will end-up posting both. The spoon was held in place by a very strange home made thing. Underneath the spoon, at close distance, I placed 2 incent sticks. Camera was set at ISO 100 6 seconds exposure in total darkness and smoke was manually painted with light with an external flash at 1/128 of its power. I fired the flash twice if not mistaken. Dairy milk is an opaque white liquid produced by the mammary glands of mammals (including monotremes). It provides the primary source of nutrition for newborn mammals before they are able to digest other types of food. The early lactation milk is known as colostrum, and carries the mother’s antibodies to the baby. It can reduce the risk of many diseases in the baby. The exact components of raw milk varies by species, but it contains significant amounts of saturated fat, protein and calcium as well as vitamin C. Cow’s milk has a pH ranging from 6.4 to 6.8, making it slightly acidic.

You know, the wonderful thing about still life is that the subject is still ....a very big plus after spending so much time trying to get macro shots of flowers that blow willy nilly in the slightest breeze and create a memory card full of out of focus shots. The other thing that I’m loving is the way the subject doesn’t mind all the fiddling ….being arranged and re-arranged…although I do think I heard a bit of a squeak from these onions and potatoes. They may have been on the verge of going on strike after all the manhandling. :-D HollyCawfieldPhotography

Another capture from my day at the little Utah museum…I am sure glad there are those of you who seem to enjoy the images, energy, message and memories that I seem to need to convey through this photography… / I was the only person in museum that day for almost 3 hours!...needless to say I saw a capture in every direction.
