The colors, the look of the ‘false’ sky, and the alien appearance of the landscape all lend an air of mystery and wonder to this artwork. Inspection reveals that the sky has folds in it, and is actually part of the rest of the scene. The entire artwork is just one large convoluted 3D object. The organic curves, gently flowing and turning in an unexpected composition, the muted orange and rust colors of the landscape, and the blues and yellows of the ‘enclosed’ sky, present themselves in an intriguing and unique interplay of light and color. There is some accidental symbolism in this art which is often overlooked. The result is an appealing, restful, and mysterious landscape that could only be found in the mind of its artist creator. The gentle flow and twist of the rainbow colors… / The writhing and turning of the forms… / The mysterious depths… / The central objects overlapping and tangling around each other – coming together in the center… / The glossy almost sweaty, silky surface texture… / Smooth and flowing… / Yet strained and contorted… / The center hot spots – coming together… All of these factors made me think of the title “Embrace”, and it seems to fit the image very well. Or maybe the artist just wants a hug / or is in need of therapy :) [The artwork has a slight stereographic effect; if you cross your eyes and bring the two circles together, pieces of the art can be seen in 3D. A conchologist would recognize this shell configuration as not quite earthly but then again, most dreams aren’t – and who knows what a shellfish dreams? (4 spirals instead of 1 – a quadruplet!)
