  • The kea is the only true alpine parrot in the world. It lives only in the New Zealand alps. This photo was taken at the Fox glacier car park in the South Island. Keas will often come to public places like this and wreck cars by ripping apart roof racks or anything rubber.

  • My husband came into the house recently with his hand outstretched and said, ‘Honey, look what I found in the yard!’ As cute as it appeared, this little guy was actually quite vicious with its sharp teeth and claws (thus the leather glove We figured out where he had come from (there are always kittens SOMEWHERE on our farm!) and replaced him, and he shall live happily ever after! LOL
