  • What happened to the days of old, / When I was young and free and bold? / Why cant I now be bourne away, / And held only in the winds sly sway. / Where are my wings with thier great breadth? / Whence did go my roaring breath? / Why must I wear this human form, / Instead of what should be the norm? Why arent I free to fly once more, / Up to the heaven’s very door? / What do I miss with these new eyes, / That look up, clouded towards the skies? / But, alas, I can do naught. / But sit and ponder some new thought / Until I am taken by sleep at night / And free my soul to resume its flight. Poem by Meaghan Duke Daz/PS7 and a twisted imagination and penchant for dragons as of late.

  • A photo I took a while ago now of the Gleno waterfall – Co.Antrim … I stood that day looking into the constant flow of water and I could swear that I saw faces … perhaps ghosts from the distant past … people that did what I was doing only from a time now forgotten. It made me think of my own past and ancestry … so i’ve placed a stock photo of ‘Stonewall’ in there … one of our family members from long ago … the good folk in the Carolinas may or may not appreciate this one …. no offence intended !!!

  • The Rendezvous of the Gunfighters in Tombstone, AZ brought forth a whole new cast of characters over the weekend. Unfortunately, one had to work very hard at catching thought provoking and candid shots of these reenactors as most were very camera conscious and constantly struck “poses.” Diligence paid off.
