Luna Park’s scenic railway in Melbourne, this was taken for a project in 2002 / 2003 when I was doing a Camera and Image 8 week short course at Melbourne School of Art and Photography. Taken using my first manual film SLR camera, a Canon EOS 300, with transparency film, then scanned digitally and adjusted to suit.

So I know there’s gotta be other people out there excited about the release of the new Batman Movie The Dark Knight, or is it just me? This is a tribute to possibly one of my favourite movies! This is also one of my first really serious attempts at creating some digital artwork in Photoshop. This is the result of me having a lot of time, sitting at home sick when I should be at work. The question is can you see Batman?? For this I started off with one of my pics of Melbourne, Australia from Southbank which was a HDR from 3 exposures. I then added in bats, flood lights, batman, the moon etc. and then once again a lot of tinkering in Lightroom to finetune :) This image has had over 5000 views Sales 1 Mounted Print 1 Poster Click here for my other images of Melbourne

Luna Park another St Kilda Icon. Had to turn up the colours a bit to animate further. This is about the only shot I go were my horrible children did not stick their head or hand in front of the camera at the last minute. Maybe they are trying to tell me something!

Winner of the Vintage Lettering Challenge (My first challenge win!) Featured in Anything Theatrical Group The Astor Theatre in St Kilda was built 1935-36. The Astor Theatre is architecturally significant as a highly intact, rare survivor of a Jazz Moderne, or Art Deco, style cinema. Its façade includes a stepped parapet wall, a projecting bay flanked by three large recessed panels with casement windows, and a cantilevered awning with pressed metal ceiling. The projecting bay features an eight point star in bas relief with an illuminated neon sign and flanked by twelve illuminated, ascending stars. Beneath the theatre awning are four shopfronts and the theatre entrance. The side walls are red brick and the roof is corrugated iron. Source: Victorian Heritage Register Canon 450D / ISO 800
