I found this old piano in an abandoned church. It’s a haunting echo of music played, songs sung, and dances danced.
This is a shot of my mums hands rehearsing for a gig – she (and my dad – who’s a violinist / Scottish fiddler) still play and perform.his image 50% of money raised from the sale of this image will be donated to Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders). Combination of two photos…... For anyone who might be offended from this photo and the resemblance of 911 that was never my intent nor thought until a few people mentioned it. My thought behind this photo was simply to make the plane look as if it was landing between the 2 buildings. / The two building are in Irvine, CA close where my husband and I love to have Sunday brunch. One morning I brought my camera with us so we could go out taking pictures after wards. These builds are grouped together next door, after brunch I walked over and started photography these buildings looking up at them and getting many different views as you can see from the attached photos to “Flying Through The Key Hole” / From there we went over to John Wayne’s Airport which is only a few miles from where the buildings were shot. “For those who are not filmier with John Wayne Airport it is just a small airport in Orange County, CA.” I was able to park in their small parking lot and get a perfect view of the planes landing right over my head. The plane shot with a Nikon AF 18 – 70 mm lens, and the plane shot was not cropped but used in its entirety. The sky was very bare that and not very blue. But loving the way the plane came out I really wanted to use it, so having the building shots in the same group as the planes that day, I started playing around by removing the back ground from the plane and placing the plane elsewhere. The two buildings I used happen to be my favorite from that day, so when adding it to that shot I thought it looked as if the plane was coming in for a landing between the two tall buildings. I liked the finished product so that is where it got its name “Flying Through The Key Hole” As for the reflection on the plane that appears to be from the buildings, I believe it is either from the concrete below or it was a reflection from the sky and maybe even blue that was already on the plane. But truly your guess is as good as mine, all I know is it worked out perfectly. So again I apologize to anyone who might be offended by this shot and any resemblance it may have to 911 that was not my intent.

Hand drawn and rendered… Saint Death (also known as La Santísima Muerte, and Doña Sebastiana), is a religious figure who receives petitions for love, luck, and protection. Although the Catholic Church has attacked the worship of Saint Death as a pagan tradition, many people insist on praying to this figure for miracles. Those who pray to this figure are often seeking the recovery of health, stolen items, or kidnapped family members. Saint Death is often depicted as a female figure, dressed as a grim reaper with a scythe and scales; also she can be dressed in a long white satin gown and a golden crown. In this form, many devotees view her as a variation of the Virgin Mary. / Some believe the cult of Saint Death originated from ancient witchcraft; however, Saint Death may have his/her roots in pre-Christian beliefs of the Aztec Native Americans who worshiped a similar figure by the name of Mictlantecuhtli, the god of death, along with his wife, Mictecacihuatl. The Day of the Dead (El Día de los Muertos in Spanish) is a holiday celebrated mainly in Mexico and by people of Mexican heritage. Family and friends gather to pray for and remember friends and relatives who have died. Many people believe that during the Day of the Dead, it is easier for the souls of the departed to visit the living. During the period most people visit the cemeteries where their loved ones are buried and decorate their graves with ofrendas, or offerings, often including orange marigolds called “cempasúchitl” (now usually called “Flor de Muerto” (“Flower of the Dead”)). These flowers are thought to attract souls of the dead to the offerings. A common symbol of the holiday is the skull (colloquially called calavera), which celebrants represent in masks, and foods such as sugar skulls, which are inscribed with the name of the recipient on the forehead. Sugar skulls are gifts that can be given to both the living and the dead. Some people believe that possessing “dia de los muertos” items can bring good luck. Many people get tattoos or have dolls of the dead to carry with them. The artist recommends a lighter colour tee for maximum detail. A darker tee will hide the black line work.

This price of ink is a crime and when you open up your printer to find out who the culprit is for the strange coloured document or whinging printer utility your always looking at the four usual suspects, C, M, Y & K (aka black). In this design i have tried to give each of them a bit of character like the Usual Suspects movie cover. I’d like to acknowledge Big Fat Robot and his Tshirt design R,G and B. which is one of my favorite T’s and one of the inspirations for this T. So who do you suspect? /

This picture was captured in Arches National Park, Moab, Utah. A friend told me about this great morning shot so I did some research and went after it. It was a tricky climb to the top of a piller to get in the perfect position. I used a Konica Minolta DiMage A2, ISO 100, F/11, AP 2.8, FOCAL 9.8MM, Manual Exposure.

Lemon splash into water – another cliche shot that like water-drop shots is something that should be tried. A rainy sunday today finally made me try this using a couple of flashes and a glass flower vase (as my tank). I did a bunch of others – but the cliched lemon had to be the first!
