In my youth I dreamed of flying saucers that would whisk me away to fantastic worlds of wonder and knowledge. / When I was grown up I dreamt of my descendants being whisked away to fantastic worlds of wonder and knowledge. / Now I am older I create patterns of Saucer Ships in the hope of delighting all the visitors to RB. / Though I must admit my wonder at what the future will bring has not diminished. / These are coloured yellow as a homage to our sun and the wonderful rays that gives us our energy (hopefully more directly in the future). This is a digitally created pattern using basic programs like Paint, XnView and Irfanview.

As the front of a book is a cover, / So the facade of this library is its cover. / The front of the Wallsend Library is mostly metal supported by concrete and enclosing many windows. The Metal structure over the steps reminds me of a ladder. / Maybe a ladder to learning? / I love books / So libraries are amongst my favourite places

Compilation of two paintings to make a line of hearts. All about love, / and how it can change people and the state of their hearts. / Some hearts are a flutter, / Others are looking for their flutter. This is about people seeking love, / some find it and it changes them / (note the turned up tails)

. This work is inspired by arum lilies. I see these lillies as a representation of purity. It is drawn with metallic brush pens on paper. I use these pens as they allow free flowing strokes. They are like preloaded paintbrushes. For a person as messy as me they are a great solution. The different effects occur as the brushes work differently when they are fully loaded or running out. I love flowers and they are often the inspiration for my work.

This is a manipulated photo of white roses that were grown in my garden. I am so pleased with the final texture!
-
Taken near Glenbawn Dam late last year with our digital camera. / The white cockatoos were flying in from all around to get their breakfast.

This is a macro shot of a plant in my neighbours garden. Around here they are known as Hot Pokers. I thought you might enjoy these colourful flowers. / It was a nice sunny day which showed the blooms off well. . / / . /

This is a group of Hot Pokers. I love their vibrant colour and so do the bees. / The shot was taken with my digital camera and just cropped a bit.
-
This is the bridge that crosses the Myall River from Teagardens to Hawks Nest. / It was taken on the way home from a good meal to the B&B. As you can see the water was so still it mirrored the lights on the bridge.
-
Originally this was a drawing but it has been transformed in the computer to form a glassy frame to say Hi. / The effect is like the Hi is a pebble dropped in water. / Could be useful as a card to introduce yourself to a new neighbour or as a postcard for someone who might be jealous of where you have been.

As this pic was a bit blurred I decided to do a good job, so I blurred it some more. After some fiddling and experimentingI managed to make it look gemlike. I thought the result was pretty so I uploaded it.

This is a montage of some pumpkin photos I took of a pumpkin Pop grew. It is meant to contrast the naturalness of the beauty of the pumpkin against the synthetic process of photographing it. It was all done in the paint and powerpoint programs, mostly cropping and duplicating.

This photo was taken in the evening. I thought the green of the fern contrasted well with the evening sky. Taken with the digital camera. Only cropped. /

This is a detailed graphic created from original artworks. / It is in a Heart shape because I love Mauve & Purple. It will be good for people who want to show their love in a variety of ways. Inside you could write something like “One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you can’t utter.” / (qute from James Earl Jones).
-

This is a photo of my friend’s cactii. / Photo is untouched just put into a circular frame (original photo could be uploaded on request). / The smooth green circle is to accentuate the spikeyness of the cactii. I think that this is what a lot of people are like. / They present a smooth mask to hide their spikey selves all it takes to find them out is to get close enough to touch. / Hope you like the spikey green pic. Taken with my digital camera.

Photo of a Sydney skylight and lights. I like the design not the technology but despite the lights still thougth the skylight worth photographing. Loved the golden colour of the design.
-
This is a compilation of two drawings. It comes from a comment of my friend that my eyes are especially good at finding butterflies everywhere. If I was courageous (or stupid, I am not sure) I might have my eyes tattooed to look like this. Both drawings done with gold gel pen in white sketch book. I love butterflies and consider them wonderous wings and a symbol of new beginings and ongoing hope.

Grave stone in cemetery in Tassie Australia. Took this as there are some Cook’s distantly related to us. Also I thought the dry grasses added a quaint touch to the pic. We loved our trip to Tassie at the begining of 2007.

This painting is of the Shinto gates that are found in the Orient to guard sea harbours. This is a seascape of an unusual kind. / It was created using Metallic brush pens in a sketch book.
