  • One of my favourite images the light was perfect and the sky a beautiful contrast. This is taken at Airey’s Inlet on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria and called The Split Point Lighthouse. It is also known as White Lady or White Queen.

  • Made in Ultra Fractal 5 Tangled Woods was featured in the FRACTAL ENERGY PASSION GALLERY.

  • Made in Ultra Fractal 5. As this Montana winter wears on, I’ve tried to recapture the magic of the first time I lived through a cold winter. I grew up in Hollywood and only saw the snow on short trips to Big Bear. First Snow was featured in FRACTAL FRENZY and COLOR ME A RAINBOW. / Featured in A FASCINATING PURPLE on April 2, 2009.

  • Made in Ultra Fractal 5. I’ve been fascinated by the gemstones made by nmsmith, so I’ve been working on making my own fractal jewelry. Artisan is featured in the DIGITAL ABSTRACTS AND PATTERNS and SPECTACULAR SPIRALS groups. / 9/30/09, featured in the SHAPES AND PATTERNS Group. FULL VIEW PLEASE! There are details and colors in this that cannot be seen in the preview image. Thanks for looking!

  • Made in Ultra Fractal 5. Every once in a while, I get this uncontrollable urge to do something really abstract. I make fractal landscapes because they are popular, but, in return, I need to make these abstracts because something inside me is trying to get out and express itself. Featured in ESCHER AND PERSPECTIVE ART on April 2, 2009.

  • Made in UltraFractal 5. At last! Little League practices started this last week and the temperatures warmed up to the 50s. There was still a brisk wind blowing, but the snow was finally gone from the ground. We were actually able to sit outside yesterday afternoon without our Winter coats on. “Dying Winter” was featured by the FRACTAL FRENZY GROUP on April 19, 2009.

  • Made in Ultra Fractal 5. “Fate” or “Destiny” has been getting bored and is looking for some fun. I think my life got in its way.

  • Made in UltraFractal 5. Mother’s Day caught me by surprise this year. Didn’t it used to fall much later in the month? Anyway, this is my Mother’s Day bouquet. Happy Mother’s Day to all you mothers and assistant mothers! Featured in the PSYCHEDELIC ART AND DESIGN group on June 12, 2009.

  • Made in UltraFractal 5. Cherry Tree is featured in the ART IN MATH, COLOR ME A RAINBOW and FRACTAL PERCEPTION groups.

  • My son, Shaun, and I went out, the other day, looking for birds to photograph. Every time we spotted one, it would fly away by the time we got the cameras turned on. We’d turn them off again, and a new one would appear. We finally found several in a neighbor’s backyard. Just as we started taking pictures, she let her dog outside and he scared them away. After a couple hours of walking, we thought we were going to come home empty handed. We came across these wildflowers next to the railroad tracks. I loved the way the setting sun backlit them, giving them a delicate appearance like fairy wings. “Wildflowers” is featured in the LIGHT AND REFLECTION and COLOR AND LIGHT Groups. Make: NIKON / Model: COOLPIX P80 / Shutter Speed: 10/2240 second / F Number: F/5.6 / Focal Length: 27 mm / ISO Speed: 64

  • Made in UltraFractal 5 for a Rainbow contest at deviantart. Dreams are elusive things, beautiful when glimpsed out of the corner of our eye, but slippery when we try to grasp them. I think they are best when we are chasing them because they can be anything we want them to be. These here are sometimes flowers and other times butterflies, flitting away.

  • What summer means to me is escaping civilization, after being cooped up and snowed in for months, and camping out as long as possible (usually until more snow forces us back indoors). If I wasn’t able to spend some of my summer in the woods, I think I’d go crazy. I need the complete quiet of nature to recharge my batteries and make me more pleasant to be around. This was taken in the Great Bear Wilderness in Northwestern Montana. 8-7-09, featured in the UNITED STATES Group. / 9-18-09, featured in the UNITED STATES Group. / 9-21-09, featured in the TOP SHELF WILDLIFE AND NATURE ART Group.

  • Made in UltraFractal 5. I miss those days when my body was able to keep up with my soul! The younger generation may not know this, but “Dirty Dancing” was invented long before Patrick Swayze’s film career. “Like an acid trip in a junk yard, dazzling and incredible!!” AlecBell / He always describes my art better than I can.

  • I have been keeping myself busy, playing with Moebius Julias. I originally imported this into Photoshop CS, just to put my signature on it, but I couldn’t resist all those triangles! I used the polygon lasso tool and gave them their own layers. Then I added the drop shadow and bevel layer styles to give it more depth. Featured in the ART IN MATH Group, August 11, 2009.

  • Made in Ultra Fractal 5, except for the signature. I made this back in March, when the weather was playing tricks on us, making us think that Spring was here. A few days of seasonable weather was followed by a big storm that dumped several inches of snow in our yard.

  • Made in UltraFractal 5. Encantado means “enchanted”. I sort of cheated on the name because I have another piece, not yet uploaded, with the English version of the name. Encantado is another fractal fantasy, my vision of a better world. 9/24/09 – Featured in the COLOR ME A RAINBOW Group, / 10/11/09 – Featured in the GLOBES, SPHERES AND CURVES Group.

  • Early evening at Lake MacDonald in Glacier National Park. 10/2/09, featured in the AMERICA’S NATURAL WONDERS Group.
