This was inspired by the recollection of many a time spent feeling just like this. At times if I am lucky I still can – but it is much harder to acheive as an adult. Gouache, ink pen, print collage on cartridge paper. This image has not been tidied up – I like its flaws.

Probably one of the oldest artworks I’ve got up here… done in my second year of uni. Just three of my mates. But this is uniquely one of only 3 actual oil paintings I’ve ever done, on masonite. I always found oils difficult and still do, hence the fussy detail and lack of confidence with the medium. But I intend to have another go this year, maybe on a larger canvas.
Red Tulips..Taken in my mums back garden, i kept the background nice and natural because i think everyone does flower shots with black or white/ plain backgrounds and this makes the image a little different

Rosie was based on a picture of Zooey Deschanel – she was doing that super-flirty “batter your eyelids while glancing over your shoulder” pose. I adore the roses and peonies that surround her…and the little extra adornment that most people don’t notice. ;) ..................................♥ the fine print ♥…................................ 30”x 40” acrylic on Number 80 Bainbridge Board cold-pressed. I used gesso to cover the beginnings of something I had started a long time ago. I have been working on this off and on for the past couple of weeks…...... between giving time to two grandsons, ten cats, and a dog. First large painting, and first flowers I have done in a while. My inspiration has been all the wonderful florals I have seen on RedBubble! There are so many beautiful paintings and drawings on this site….....all are an inspiration for me to paint and draw again.

I’ve always loved nature and was a big fan of the BugCatcher toy – naturally, I always let my little friends go at the end of the day. This little lady, in her vintage lace skirt, has enlisted the help of a glow worm to make an old fashioned lamp.
