  • One of my all time favourite sunset views is the view looking west from a small staff caravan park at Yulara (Ayers Rock Resort) towards the silhouette of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). I have witnessed hundreds of amazingly beautiful sunsets from this place. This was a particularly pink sunset some years ago. Kata Tjuta, Australia. [Creative Effects: NONE]

  • Taken in Central Australia. This is Uluru, I took this with my old Canon film camera a while back and converted it to sepia using Ulead 13 software, I’m not sure of the result so I thought I’d leave it to the judgement of the good people of RB to offer their opinions. Thanks in advance guys. See my video on YouTube

  • Kata Tjuta, known also as The Olgas. Kata Tjuta is the Aboriginal name, which means “many heads’. It is a group of more than 30 rounded red domes rising from the desert floor. The tallest is said to be around 546 metres high. Kata Tjuta is about 30 kilometres west of Uluru. An amazing place to explore, magnificent scenery in every direction. • Sochin (壯鎭) (Japanese: “Tranquil Force”) is a kata practiced in several styles of karate. / The rhythm of the kata is dynamic, it is characterized by slow, deliberate movements interspersed with explosive out-bursts of speed. In the Shotokan version, the powerful dominant stance in this kata is sochin-dachi (“rooted stance”). I chose this stance on purely selfish reasons – I practice Shotokan

  • Featured KITTY OF THE WEEK in Domestic and Pedigree Cats Featured in Happy Haven-Photography / Canon EOS 350D Canon Lens 33mm 1/60 sec F/4,5 ISO-400 / / Sushi is a six week old Maine Coon kitten of the Cattery Kata-Nebari, The Netherlands, Europe / The Maine Coon is a breed of domestic cat well known for its distinctive physical appearance. It is one of the oldest natural breeds in North America, specifically native to the state of Maine, where it is the official State Cat. Although the Maine Coon’s exact origins and date of introduction to the United States are unknown, many theories have been proposed. The breed was popular in cat shows in the late 1800s, but its existence became threatened when long-haired breeds from overseas were introduced in the early 20th century. The Maine Coon has since made a comeback and is now the second most popular cat breed in the world, according to the Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA). The Maine Coon is generally noted for its large bone structure, its rectangular body shape, and a long, flowing coat. The breed can be seen in a variety of colors and are known for their intelligence and gentle personalities. Health problems, such as feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and hip dysplasia, are seen in the breed, but testing is available to detect the genes responsible for causing these abnormalities. / Source Wikipedia / / / Sushi is a six week old Maine Coon kitten of the Cattery Kata-Nebari, The Netherlands, Europe / / / Sushi is a six week old Maine Coon kitten of the Cattery Kata-Nebari, The Netherlands, Europe / / / Sushi is a six week old Maine Coon kitten of the Cattery Kata-Nebari, The Netherlands, Europe / / / Sushi is a six week old Maine Coon kitten of the Cattery Kata-Nebari, The Netherlands, Europe / / Featured in Happy Haven-Photography

The perfect time of year with the tall flowers of Spinifex and the Desert Oak catching the first rays of morning light.
