  • Ephemeral Partings
    by Karri Klawiter

    US$4.99–US$114.00

Dedicated to my father who passed away 9/15/08. Ephemeral: Lasting only one day. Lasting a very short time. I created this using various old images I had laying around and played with it in Photoshop. I almost feel like I should have a poem written for this piece, but alas, i am not a writer! This piece was featured in PixElations-The Art of Photography, The Graphic Room-Graphic and Digital Art and the Live, Love, Dream group as the Top Feature Piece of the Day – 9/5/08. This piece also took 1st place in the Live, Love, Dream’s Editing Frenzy Compitetion THANK YOU!! —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / This piece can be found in my Flora Calendar. —-—-—-—-—- —-—-—-—-—- For more products featuring this piece, visit Karri’s Store

  • Quiet Barn
    by Karri Klawiter

    US$4.99–US$114.00

When I first came to Redbubble, I only had a couple pieces to post. I always reduced the size of my photos before editing them(making them too small for here), just didn’t have a reason to keep them full size until Redbubble. Anyways, I threw this pic up, just so I had more than 2 posted. I didn’t really even like it. The original shot’s exposure was all kinds of screwed up. I edited so much, I was just plain sick of it. But like I said, it was a filler pic. I sooo did not expect the amount of attention it received, much less that it sold. I’ve actually grown to really like it too. So I thought I’d share this, and the original shot with everyone. So here it is: This piece was my very first sold piece. It was also chosen for the Featured Art Page (before group featuring), featured in A Photographer’s Craft group, and was a finalist in the May US Scenic Photo Contest. Thank You!! —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— / This piece can be found in my Abandoned Calendar. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— If you like these, check out the rest of my Rural America Series

  • Echinacea Dark Dreams
    by Karri Klawiter

    US$4.99–US$114.00

Echinacea purpurea (purple coneflower) with a dark twist. This was the first of my Dark Dreams flower series, most of which I have pulled from redbubble. It was also one of my first images here. Obviously it was photoshoped. I get a lot of questions about why there are scratches on it, it was to give it an old aged look. The texture would make it a great canidate for a canvas print… hint hint ;) This is the original: / I believe this is the largest image in my portfolio, and that is because it was taken with my old 35 mm SLR, then scanned in (I have a really good scanner that scans really big) If you are seeing this image in a group for the first time, that is because I just realized it wasn’t in any groups! I must have cleared it out to make room for newer stuff. This peice was my very first one chosen on the Featured Art page and was featured in Ebony and Ivory group. Thank you! —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / This piece can be found in my Flora Calendar. / For more products featuring this image, visit Karri’s Zazzle Store

  • A Pinch of Blue
    by Karri Klawiter

    US$4.99–US$114.00

I purchased a laminated print of this piece, and I have to tell you, the high gloss print just makes this one pop! It is so smooth and fluid. My only complaint is that everyone (with the exception of one of my neices) first comment is, “What is it?” Heck, when it first came, my husband said “What is it?” I said “An abstract” he said ”..so what is it..” We went back and forth a minute, then he finally gave me this odd look and said “People actually like this stuff?” LOL I’ve had people ask if it’s an ear, a dog’s dew claw, paint swirls, etc. I keep saying, it’s just a digitally rendered image, it’s nothing. I finally gave up and started say If that’s what you think it is, then it is. Personally, to me, it reminds me of blood cells flowing. LOL Like I said, it’s whatever you think it is! Created in Apophysis 3D hack This piece was featured in the Digital Abstracts and Patterns group, the Abstract Art group, and the main Art page. Thank You! —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— / This piece can be found in my Digital Abstract Calendar. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— / For products featuring this image, visit Karri’s Zazzle Store More Fractals by Karri Klawiter

    US$4.99–US$114.00

Wash away my sins…and help me forget, for it hurts too much without you… My first attempt at photomanipulation using stock. The background is all mine though. Gotta love Michigan summer storms! Well Ok fine! Michigan summer storm clouds, since the lightening is painted :) My entry in the LLD5 competition. • The Song of My Sword
    by Karri Klawiter

    US$4.99–US$114.00

I got really bored for a bit this afternoon, had a fleeting thought, then played around. I’m not really sure how I feel about this one yet. I gave it an almosted painted feel to it, you can’t really see the detail in the previews here that you can full size. Oh, yeah, forgot, yep that’s me. / (I just wanted to see myself on a card…) This piece was featured in the Live, Love, Dream group. THANK YOU!!

  • Aren’t you glad this isn’t your home?? My husband and I drove by this abandoned house the other day. This is the first time I’ve been able to get inside one. Usually I’m toting the kids, and can only get a quick shot of the outside. Oh man, this place was TRASHED! But so fun to photograph! Unfortunantly, I didn’t have a tripod, nor was there really anything to use as one, so only a couple of my HDR shots didn’t turn out a complete blury. HDR This piece was featured on the Redbubble Homepage May 23,2009 and in Dilapidated Buildings group, Eerie Lighting group and A Photographer’s Craft. • Desire
    by Karri Klawiter

    US$4.99–US$114.00

Created in Apophysis 3D hack. This is one of my favorite fractals. I think the title is very fitting for this image, the curves, the colors, an abstract view of desire, love, compassion and lust. I love how smooth and curvacious it turned out. Can you tell that this actually came from the parameters of A Pinch of Blue ? This piece was featured in the Live, Love, Dream group and A Fractal Energy Passion group. • Depth of Purity
    by Karri Klawiter

    US$4.99–US$114.00

See, weeds can be beautiful too! This is a fleabane bloom (those tiny daisy-like weed/wildflowers). I gave it a somewhat painted look. This piece was featured in A Photographer’s Craft group. Thank You! —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / This piece can be found in my Flora Calendar.

  • Lost
    by Karri Klawiter

    US$4.99

This shot was a junk shot I had already created in HDR, that I was going to toss. There were major issues w/ it, such as large white spot in the corner, blurred spots, etc. But I loved the look of the tree. So I played with it a bit, liked what I came up w/ (which was what you see, minus the girl) but thought something was missing. I added the girl and well, here’s what we got! / I really like the dark ambiance and lost feeling of the piece. I thought it would be nice to show the original shot I was gonna trash. Personally, I like seeing before and afters of photo manips, helps give a sence of what they actually go through to accomplish the final piece. / This piece was featured in and won Out of the Past Group’s May contest, “Ghosts of the Past.” Thank You!!!!!

  • I haven’t created a new fractal in a while, so I thought it was time. For some reason, I just can’t break myself away from the whole sphere thing. Even my paintings when I was younger all had some sort of sphere. Someone once told me it was my secret signature, who knows? Don’t ya just love the title though? The tones of this piece reminded me of coffee with lots of cream, maybe a rounded sugar cube, hense the Expresso reference. And the rest, well hey, it’s an abstract, I can name it any ridiculous name I want! LOL (ok, so I’m watching Ghost Hunters, so apparition just stuck in my head :P ) Created in Apophysis 3d Hack This piece was featured in the Abstract Art group and the Fractal Frenzy group. • Keeping it Simple
    by Karri Klawiter

    US$4.99–US$114.00

This is Erigeron philadelphicus, aka Fleabane, cute lil daisy like weed, about the size of my thumb. I’ll probally change the name later. [NOTE: I did finally change the name from Erigeron philadelphicus to Keeping it Simple, lame I know, but better than it’s scientific name, right?] I like the simplicity of this picture, but it almost seems like something should be written in the left side. But I just don’t know what. I think it would make a nice card. This piece was featured in the Michigan Outdoors Group. • Once Upon a Time
    by Karri Klawiter

    US$4.99–US$114.00

Another shot in this lovely abandoned house. I’m slowing getting them posted. Eventually I’ll get the image of the outside of it up…maybe :) I have a few, just have to finish editing and decide what ones make the cut, or at least get to test the waters. I was having trouble naming this one. As I was staring at the drywall patchwork that was started, I was thinking about how once upon a time someone started renovating the house, but didn’t finish. Makes me wonder why? So…even though there was no storybook ending to this house (at least not yet) I’m imagine it had a storybook beginning. HDR imaging House is located in Allegan Coutny, Mi This piece was featured in the Live, Love, Dream group and A Photographer’s Craft. THANK YOU!! —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— / This piece can be found in my Once Upon A Time Calendar. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——

  • Along Came a Spider
    by Karri Klawiter

    US$4.99–US$114.00

If you don’t already know, I have this weird (at least I’m told) Obsession with arachnids. I think they are one of the most beautiful and amazing creatures. I have been trying and trying to get a good shot of one, but since I don’t have a macro lense yet, it’s been difficult. I used my 4x zoom filters, which usually turn out blurry, but this one turned out great, in my opinion. And the fact that I caught this lovely lady on a white background, with the shadow she cast! What luck! Let me tell you, she did NOT want to pose for me. I had to keep nudging her to get out of the ball she formed. After this shot she just froze for well over an hour. Poor thing, I scared to death! I believe this gal is a “Barn Spider” ie. Araneus cavaticus / I think this makes such a cool looking card! LOL
